    3D things

Things I've been working on in 3ds max to improve my overall skill in 3D modeling:

(Most of the detail is on the back of this TV render, I haven't had the time to take a complete set of renders for you to see, but I'll get to it. Seems like I also need to fix the focal length of my camera, bit blurry..)

Things to work on: Lighting, final-render setup, materials

Let me know what you think, and whether there's anything I can do to improve that you see from these renders.

The first one and the bottom are very LQ.

Other than that they look nice. I don't really know much about 3d modeling tho.

Yeah, I didn't set up final rendering for the first and the last (good eye, by the way, but I guess it's not too hard to tell;])

Plus, I think the focal length is too short, another thing to go through and fix

    Thank you for the critique

I like these. Textures look nice, although a little blurry as you mentioned. Lighting and overall scenes need some work. I'm really loving the bed one!

Yeah I spent the most time on the bed, though it's not my original design. I think I got the idea from glancing at it somewhere on the internet, but it was made without reference.. so I guess it can be considered a skill of reproduction:D

I'm huge into 3ds max and UDK, so I've got a lot of experience in this realm :)

First I'm going to assume you're using Mental Ray, and thats good, but if you can try to get a version of VRay. It blows MRay out of the water for sure in render quality and render speed.

As far as the bed goes, is that texture UV Mapped? I'm asking because it looks like you have slight texture stretch on the front end of the bed.

Are you using an Amb Occ pass on these?

Overall these look excellent though, I like your ideas alot. I would look into making game assets and importing them into a game engine, or making a nice animation out of what you've created.

I've already got vray, and it's being used in these renders, they are in fact UV mapped (and yeah, I haven't found out how to fix the stretch on the "Z" axis) I believe I have adaptive DCM on, I don't know what Amb occ is

Thanks for the feedback:] When I learn how to use vray better, maybe I can live up the it's standard, rather than making it look like it was done in shitty 'ol mental ray haha
