Basically, he wants the dispute forum & the spammer & the scammer reports forums only visible to mods.

i like reading the dispute forum.

but it would be nice, that way if you report someone then you dont get flamed.

i find report a scammer useful so i can see if someone i'm about to deal with has been reported recently.

I agree, it is fun to watch the noobs go "omg leik i didnt skam i iz haxed" but there are serious appeals as well.

On the note of the report a scammer forum: That one isn't really as big an issue, but people get pissed if they know you reported them.

Also, why would someone trade with someone they don't know, without reviewing previous trades they did with other people. The forum shouldn't be a resource for who to trade with or not.

I don't believe that this should be put into effect.

If anything will be changed, it should be that the users should not be able to reply to the scammer/spammer sections. Although in rare occasions, replies do appear, it is not necessary, as it's mostly people agreeing, or reporting for the same reason.

 

I think the RaS section should still be public. People should be able to see the proof that got them banned, so they could dispute it. I don't mind if the Dispute Forum becomes public or private. However, I think that forum should be moderated, like Community General.

agree reason--- saves space on homepage even if you use the little arrows to shorten the section

disagree reason--- its pretty fun to read some of the disputes and how peopl report a scammer and see if you are on the list.

The fact that many people use pointless excuses and edit pictures for proofs and text logs is fun to look at

 

I like that idea... Make it private until a mod makes it public. So in RaS, if the person is banned for scamming in the end, it is made public.

 

Meh i still think its better to be able to view them at least since you cant reply.
What do you mean announcing it like making that thread with the pics and stuff public after they got banned?
Or just telling everyone they were banned.

 

I feel members SHOULD have the ability to flick through the RaS section so that when trading they can be cautious of people who have been accused of scamming previously.
