Currently have the modeling and the animation done, now I need lighting, material and post production

Small scale so it was quicker to upload, any suggestions on how to improve in the next few steps? I'm thinking a rusted iron material, panning spot and dark ambient lighting, with a lens flair at its climax.

Looks great man, my only critique is perspective/depth on the spinning emblem whether this is something you wanted to achieve or not. Just my preference for perspective.

More in-depth, both collars are behind the stars then rotate to surround the stars. One end is required to be in front of the stars, and the other behind. As well as depth for the difference in size/scale for distance from the source.

Or perhaps create the captures separately and mask in post production.

    Great work though.

That looks so smooth man. Love the quality of it; does it by chance have anything to do with the military?

Only the stars were inspired by the General of the Armies for American armed forces, symbolized by 5 stars around a pentagon

@Smokehut, yessir, I used object visibility as the fade-in/out animation. I had hoped 3DS max would have a more powerful built-in opacity function, but as you can see, it fails in rendering. Instead of having inherently hidden edges, all the front facing polygons add to each other. So when objects overlap, or even multiple polygons in the same element, they add up their opacity instead of properly hiding what's behind, if that makes sense.

Anyway, solution is to animate an opacity map within materials rather than trying to animate visibility.

It's looking good so far in my opinion. I have to agree that the center emblem seems a bit off but that's just because I am a picky perfectionist lol. Keep it up!
