RANGE PURE GUIDE - by Sheer Might
NOTE: FOOD IS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS GUIDE

Lets get right into the guide, no introduction needed.

    Firstly, you'll need the following to make sure you're supplied and ready to train whenever you need to (F2P first);

    x5000000 (5M) gold
    x10000 Iron arrows
    x1 Amulet of Power
    x1 Studded chaps
    x1 Leather body
    x1 Leather chaps
    x1 Leather vambraces
    x1 Green dragonhide vambraces
    x1 Green dragonhide chaps
    x1 Shortbow
    x1 Oak shortbow
    x1 Willow shortbow
    x1 Maple shortbow
    x1 Leather cowl

Firstly, I assume that you're currently starting a new account with 1 range. Make sure that your other skills except your range and hitpoints stay 1 for now.

    1. The name
The name of a range pure, or any pure for that matter needs to be unique and easy to say, so people can remember you. Some people use names such as: x0o0xo0o to try to be smart, but it'll bite you in the ass later. Names such as: Split Arrow are great names to be remembered as. Once you have your name, create your account and quickly go through tutorial island.

    2. Starting out
Get the supplies mentioned above when you get to Lumbridge, then head to varrock sewers.

    1-10
Train on the tiny rats with leather vambraces, leather body, amulet of power, iron arrows, leather cowl and shortbow equipped until you get 5 range. Equip your oak shortbow. Then, train on giant rats until 10 range. The best place to range giant rats is where 2 spawn deeper into the sewer as there are also safespots.

    10-40
Congratulations on getting your first 9 range levels. The best place for you to train now is barbarian village, inside the bar. This is the best place to train until 40 range, as there are safespots behind tables and there are large quantities of them who you can attack. When you hit 20 range, wield your willow shortbow and studded chaps and coif. When you hit 30 range, wield your maple shortbow.

    40-55
Congratulations on getting this far. It's time to become a member. There are really no good training spots in F2P to effectively train range, which is why you need to become a member for this to be a quicker process. When you become a member, purchase the following:

    x5000 Iron knives
    x2000 Red chinchompas
    x1 Amulet of glory/fury
    x1 Blue dragonhide chaps
    x1 Blue dragonhide vambraces
    x1 Red dragonhide chaps
    x1 Red dragonhide vambraces
    x1 Black dragonhide chaps
    x1 Black dragonhide vambraces

You may also wish to complete the following quests:
    Temple of Ikov

Now, onto the training. Go to the rock crabs, right near Rellekka which is north of Camelot. Equip everything before you go which should be: green dragonhide chaps and vambraces, coif, 5000 iron knives, glory/fury, leather body. Remember to have blue dragonhide chaps and vambs in your inventory for later. Once you hit 50 range, put it on and start ranging until 55.

    55-70 (not tested)
Red chinchompas give very good exp and can hit 10 enemies at once. You should find cramped area with monsters, an example of the best place is Chaos Tunnels. Make sure you take very good food if you enter that area. When you hit 60 range, put on your red dragonhide. With the chinchompas, it will only take a few hours to complete this goal.

    ---

END. Note that this doesn't cover 99 range since this is a range pure guide, a true pure ranger should be able to wear black dragonhide. Here are the recommended items you should get throughout the rest of your training though:

    Crystal Bow (Roving Elves)
    Mith gloves (RFD)

pointless to use red chins with 55 range. it's just waste of money.
