I think I have pink eye...

I woke up at like 5;00 AM and my eyes were near glued shut due to some 'discharge' of white puss. I went to the sink and cleared them and went back to bed. I then woke up in the morning at 10:00 AM and my eyes were shut again so I cleared them and proceeded downstairs. My entire family staired at me as I walked through the kitchen with pink-glowing eyes. My eyes are a dark red now as I type and they are very irritated and itchy.

QUESTIONS:
Has anyone ever had Pink Eye Before?
Am I describing what you had?
How long does it last?
What medicine(s) did you take?
What else should I know to fight this vicious virus?

Dude, I think it might be conjunctive itus. Or however you spell it. When my eyes wouldn't open and they were all itchy and pink I found out i had it.

 

Go to the doctors.

You can... But mate I'm 90 percent sure that you have it. If you wait it out IT'll probably get worse. What you described in your original post were all the things i had when i had the infection.

 

So what should I do now then? go to the doctors? my parents were just going to pick me up an eye wash and benedryll

 

well, try the eye wash and benedryll, if it's still bad go to the doctors.

Mop up and soak your eyelids with a wet cloth. Repeat this periodically with a new cloth each time. (Of course make sure that these will be washed soon and no one else uses them until!)

Yeah, you've got Conjunctivitis (Pink Eye).

Yes, I've had Pink Eye once, but only once.
Yep, exactly describing. Your eyes are like glued shut and you just kinda rub them or wash them until you get the crust off.
It lasted me about 2-3 days.

Back in 5th grade, EVERYBODY had it at one point...it's vvveeerrryyy contagious.

 

I just got pink eye yesterday lol.

My doctor gave me some eyedrops and it got better, but it lasts 3-4 days.

 

My eyes have been glued like that before also. Do you wear contact lenses?

 

Dalpra is right there are some things you can get at your local chemist to help with the itching and such.

It is highly contagious those.
