Explanation of the trade: Bought an infernal main was banned week after for RWT. He couldn't even recover the account himself(if it was his personal account why couldnt he recover it?). He failed to inform me account marks. Turns out the infraction on the account was for RWT of Infernal(not the infraction that happened while in my possesion). And he failed to inform me.
Amount scammed: $600 BTC
How they scammed: Bought an infernal main was banned week after for RWT. He couldn't even recover the account himself(if it was his personal account why couldnt he recover it?). He failed to inform me account marks. Turns out the infraction on the account was for RWT of Infernal(not the infraction that happened while in my possesion). And he failed to inform me. Also when initially contacted for account advertised he stated he no longer had that account and had one identical and was his personal account. So i genuinely agreed assuming it was clean and free like the other. Which it wasn't, now he's accusing me of working for Jagex and I know to much and he's done no wrong. Can provide video proof of convos they are in Spanish and English and have a notepad will translation of conversation.

Was told he should of informed me of the infraction on the account. Which would I have known ahead of time and what it was for I would of never purchased. Yes I should of checked myself, but he as the seller as stated in rules should of told me and addressed me about it. Not to mention he told me he no longer had the advertised account AFTER BTC went through{account is now currently advertised as he has it). Skeptical because he was new I agreed to different account thinking it'd be in the same condition.

not looking for compensation unless mods deem valid to do so. But would like to make sure seller is held responsible for mishappenings.

First of all, I don't understand why you call me scam. if nobody can know the trades, etc, what did you do with the account? How do you ensure and give proof that you did not trade? You know that buying gold is a reason for prohibition and look at this: you buy gold Imgur

I repeat do not scam you nor was there any recovery or anything. just jagex banned you maybe you broke a rule. And the easiest option is to ask for a refund accusing me of scammer? I do not agree with you.

Because recovering it on creation Ip as you told me werent from the states would show Jagex it wasn't in original owners hands(if it was banned on my doing). You didn't ask me if the account was all good. You asked me all good. Where I am from means you dont need anything else from me. Not once have I asked you for a refund. And only told you I was disputing it after you couldn't recover your own account. There are rules that sythe puts in place that you are required to follow as a buyer and as a seller.

 

I told you why my ip changes. I told you I pk in singles. People who play runescape know what I'm talking about when I say I change my Ip and its bc I pk in singles.

 

Please note he offered his help in recovering. But after things werent adding up I decided to bring this to mods attention and allow them to their job because he isn't understanding rules are rules.

Here's my breakdown on the situation.

I contact Seller for account, seller has sold 35 other accounts. No negative marks. Seems trustworthy.
We talk and confirm what account we are talking about. I sent payment. The moment payment clears, he says oh no we got a problem I don't have that account but I have another similar look at it! *sends screenshots*

Fair account for the price. Transaction gets done..

Bought gold from him on different computer, account, and ip. None of which the main I purchased has came into contact or connection with on jagex's side or my side. Take note small amount - 130m.

Days later account is banned while doing TOB.

No problem he isn't from the states, he can recover no way jagex thinks he moved across the world in 2 seconds from him logging in to remove wealth from the account to me logging in to confirm the account log in was correct. Jagex would see this as he got hacked.

Ask him to recover, his recovery got denied. If accepted, the ban status could always stay and he could appeal that then or they would remove it as it clearly looks funny.

Well just a lot of fishy stuff happening with him and then he said I work for Jagex and that's kinda when I was like this is out of my hands.

And I also want to know how I know you didn't do other trades? apart from mine.

I dont have a valid way of showing I didn't purchase which is kinda part of the trade game here. It's a risk I take as a buyer. How do I know accounts dont get crossed etc? I have to because I do services and in order to protect customers accounts I take further prevention on my end of having multiple computers and different ISPs, proxies, vpns. I essentially have to do that in order to be in that of work I feel like so that is what I invested my stimulus check on. LOL. I purchased a end game main because doing services I would no longer have time to grind my own account out. All I have is my word. And it's the scammer section because you broke the rules that I was informed of just today. Sythe says if you fail to inform account status and infractions its defaulted to the buyer. I didn't even know about that until today and I was in contact with you yesterday about the account.

 

I feel like you essentially indirectly unintentionally scammed me. I would of never even touched the account if I knew you got infernal cape taken away and has another on it. As a lot of people would agree with me on that because Jagex watches infernal accounts like hawks.

I came to you for help and then basically when the recovery was denied you told me dispute if i want you cant be annoyed with it. I even told you I'd pay you if you ended up recovering it for your assistance. and yes 5 days. That's it and the account was yonked from me. So tell me how I am supposed to feel when I've went above and beyond to protect things on my end and then you get all defensive when you can't recover your own account, you say I work for jagex, you asked why I change Ips and I told you in discord. I'm being transparent as possible and you keep jumping down my throat like I'm accusing you of something when I've clearly implied at the end if loss is a loss then for you to be accountable for your end. Weird situation I get it, but look at it in my eyes. I know theres no way anything bad happened on that account or anything attached to it for it get "grouped" in. It was a RWT Major. I don't know how jagex classifies the minors or majors. I just know I didn't get this account dirty on my end and asked you for help. You then became defensive and even told me to dispute. So i did.

The account was not recovered nor did you have any problems because of that.
The account I repeat was banned, it is difficult for jagex to return it to you.

Well when you weren't willingly helpful anymore I posted on sythe asking about the situation and even posted it was banned for RWT on the thread asking for help regard it and was showed this essentially

If you are right, but you had it for 5 days. Maybe you saw it, I don't care. It was an excuse to later be malicious. Why didn't you tell me the same day? plus that's why it wasn't banned. "it was because of RWT" you know it's like that.
