Need Dell,vista help.

Ok so i got this sweet dell for christmas, And i play wow, and with wow you need vent with Vent you need a mic.

So I bought one and it was working great, Untill one day i turn it on and my mic doesnt work, so i think oh well mic's blown so i buy another one, and no sound, or voice work, I cant hear music or talk to people basically.

Before when i plugged it in it would turn off the speakers, now they stay on, so im lead to belive that my plugs are broken or i turned them off somehow.

How can i fix it?

 

When you plugged in the headphones it turned off the speaker.
Start | Control Panel | Sound and audio devices

I would just go pooking around there

did your thing come with a CD if it did install whatever stuff and then see what you can do

 

go to volume make sure u useing the MIC one
