    RWT Bans

A while ago, I had both of my accounts perm banned for RWT. I felt like I had "more than I need" so I wanted to sell off a few hundred mil.
I decided to sell it through my alt "just to be safe". I did make the mistake of trading some more over from my main before the act. I'm not sure if that did or did not matter, as I've played the accounts simultaneously, but on the other hand my ironman, which I hadn't played on for a couple weeks, hadn't received a ban.
I'm not sure how they got me, as the account was 12+ years old and wasn't exactly a "stereotypical gold farm". I had a rap sheet over the years, but for minor stupid stuff like offensive language, nothing that would explain me being "flagged". I've heard people say that they've done multiple high value trades without being banned, and my boy personally vouched for the site I used claiming the same thing. (I used Bogla. It was pretty weird though they had me trade it in chunks to different accounts, not one lump sum.)

That's the background. Now to get to the point.
For complicated reasons that aren't relevant to the subject, I'm not planning on making my new permanent account just yet.
However, I have made an account for the purposes of doing another gold haul (this time using a VPN, from creation through all the play time). Then when I'm ready to make my new legit account, I would sell off everything on the farm and be done with that business for good.
My concern is IP/MAC ban. IP shouldn't be a concern due to the VPN, but can they go deeper? Can they trace the MAC address of my router, or computer, or anything else for that matter?
Obviously I don't care about the current gold farm account being banned. What I don't want to happen is being blacklisted and never being able to play again.
Can anyone offer some advice? Is there a possibility that even through the use of a VPN, they can still trace my device and still instaban all new and "clean" accounts? I've heard of such things happening but exclusively with botters.
Have any of you experienced multiple account bans, but were then able to start anew and play legit without any problems? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

Looks like you did every mistake that you could here man

Selling through alt just doubles the chance for it to get noticed.
Using vpn's is a bad idea because they're flagged most of the time i would suggest using private proxies instead (the ones that don't advertise anything runescape related on their website). Jagex also stores your information in their cache files, but it's just speculation about them actually using it to track people down. If you want to avoid being flagged at all costs just use a virtual machine along with a residential proxy.

As for selling gold i'd suggest trading it directly to other active players. May as well just use websites like Buy RuneScape Gold - RuneScapeGoldMarkt where they make you deliver the gold straight to the buyer so u don't have to risk trading throw-away mules that most gold buyers use

So are you saying they can indeed trace me past a VPN and MAC ban me preventing future accounts?
As I said, I don't care about this current account being banned. My concern is being blacklisted and being one of those "banned upon login every time" stories.

They could but there is no real proof if they do (As for vpn's just throw it away as it usually does more harm than good). They only blacklist very big rwters so you shouldn't worry about it, but they might be checking your activity a lot more carefully after you received a ban.
