RuneLitePlus - Open Source - Killer of P2W Clients

I don't care lol, no one is paying for all these private plugins, editing bytecode to keep them updated every week with RL patches, especially with stuff like safespot tiles and releasing it for FREE. Doesn't happen, sorry.

 

The entire OG runelite has an absurd amount of features and is also free. It even had a paid competitor, so could have gone that path yet they did it for free.

Some people have IRL jobs and do stuff like this for fun, not a couple bucks for a custom AHK script like others lmao.

 

The difficulty levels in making a harmless feature for the base Runelite and making these plugins is on another level. If you had even a tiny fraction of an idea the process that goes into making these plugins when RL are attempting to break them every single week then you wouldn't respond like a retard.

 

Uhh.. I make these plugins, lol. It's not hard.

It really isn't that hard, man.
They list nearly all changes they make and any changes to the API, it's as simple swapping out a few lines of code. Yeah, its' tedious but nothing more than a few hours a week.

Arguably the actual client development is the most difficult part. Plugins are the easiest.

Also adding that the logic of "I wouldn't do this for free so nobody else would and therefore this contains malicious code" is extremely flawed and I urge you to modify the basis of your argument. Speaking for yourself is the best thing you can do when making assumptions about the actions of others. People make scripts for bot clients for free, all the time, even though the API changes and even if Jagex is taking counter measures. People script and modify their code for free when needed - even if you don't.

If you went with "there are several thousand lines of code and nobody is actually checking for malicious code" instead, it might make a huge difference and will definitely make more sense than what you're arguing now.

There's literally a blue line underneath my name for Runelite plugins, when RL made it so you have to edit bytecode to make certain plugins work I was the first person to figure out how to fix it along with Viral. Are you blind, retarded, or both? Not going to keep giving this rat client more exposure by replying to someone who has no idea what they're taking about.

Anyone else think it's ironic that this guy is trying to get people to not use this client when he has a link to purchase his custom RuneLite plugins under his name? Perhaps he's just upset people are releasing this stuff for free, when he was unwilling to himself. There's a discord with hundreds of people using this client without any issues thus far.
