Downloading prob.

Alright well I just set up my old computer in my room. It has Win98 so its
pretty old. I just bought an ethernet card for it so i could connect to the
internet. It's so old it has like the first version of IE and I tried to download
firefox but when i clicked "download" nothing happened. Normally the little
windo pops up and it says "save to disk" or "open" ect.

Does anyone know what to do?

Also it says "Explorer has performed an illegal operation" ALOT idk why
or what it means.

 

Omg, I finally get it to download and when I try to install it I get this mssg.



It says that alot when I try to open programs too.

Does anybody know where I can get this required ".DLL" file?

And It also gives me this message just randomly ALOT.



When that pops up i just click "close" and nothing happens.

 

I'd suggest reinstalling windows. Preferably Windows XP if you have that. Other than that, Go to microsoft.com and see if you have the latest drivers. Windows 98 is old but I'm sure those programs still support 98. Good luck.

 

Do a windows update.

 

K thanks guys ill try that, but now i think i screwed it up....It wont even start
up.

Download the DLL, and place it in C:\Windows\System32 .

Also, be sure you're using compatible software. People don't think about obsolete versions of windows anymore, and you could have downloaded an incompatible file.
