Scared of RWT ban..

Hello, I'm quite new to Runescape my account is not a month old yet. But I've been enjoying the game and it's taking almost all of my time.

I was wondering if I were to sell 500-900 million gp every week, would that cause a ban?

Also, what's the of gp I have to sell before Jagex suspects I'm RWTing?

How does Jagex detect RWT even? So we could all avoid it please?

To answer your question, if you sell 500-900m a week you shouldn't expect a RWT ban... Even trading 500-900m a day, you should be fine. Typically traders who deal 10b+ a day or in single trades are known to get banned for RWT. There is no official method that we know of which allows Jagex to detect RWT but some people like to put items up in the trade including gold, stake xfering, drop trading, etc... A level 3 account with no stats and trading off tens of billions is very suspicious and would likely be banned for RWTing.

I suggest creating 3-4 alt accounts and spread the money throughout the accounts after training them to a higher lvl.

I just heard some got banned for trading as little as 10mil and it frightended me to be honest. I don't bot, and I don't do anything third party... I only stack, so it would be very heartbreaking for me to lose all the progress.

Hello, I'm not sure if this applies for RS3, but in 07 you can get banned for low amounts if you're in a flagged country known for RWT actions (as they are constantly monitored), but it also depends on your luck.

Just don't trade daily, or use methods like stake which will help you to cover it, however if you RWT don't get surprised when the ban hits you, it could take days, months or years, but you're still breaking their laws

 

Should be fine but preferably sell it in smaller amounts since I got banned even for 100-200m osrs gp transactions not too far ago on higher level account

 

I've sold bilions and haven't got banned once for rwt. From my experience I'd say that Jagex prioritize people from countries that are known to be huge gold sellers (ex : China, Venezuela) and stakers.

You will never be safe but you can minimize the chance of getting banned by using a proxy related to a country that isn't monitored that much , doing smaller trades with various accounts , staking smaller amounts , etc.

 

Oh no, no, I don't stake or anything. I just kill monsters and sell in the GE. That's all. I don't do any suspicious activities.

RWT - real world trading. So you can only get banned if Jagex suspects that you are selling gold for real world currency. Anyways, if you are RWT'ing on your main account and you play that account constantly, they shouldn't ban you as it's harder for them to track and take a decission on a legit account.

 

If you wanted to try to be a little more safe about the trading process, you could stake the other person.

 

I worked on a gambling site for about 10 months and traded on just 2 accounts over 300b+ 07 in trades on 07 acc and over 200b rs3 if not 300b and no bans on either account. Both are aged accounts and were moving lots of gold. Did lots of max cash eoc trades over that time and multiple 1b+ 07 trades at a time.

I found you only get banned if you sell to sketchy sites.

 

If you break the rules you'll get banned. Jagex doesn't mess around when it comes to RWT.

Sometimes it takes a while, but every seller gets banned in the end. Buyers are quite safe though.

You are pulling this percentage directly out of thin air. Quoting concrete numbers without supporting evidence is bad practice.

I've completed atleast 10,000 trades and got 3 bans. I can't specify how much exactly because there were simply too many trades to count (even if it was 3 bans per 10,000 trades that's not any close to even 1%). I didn't get that 1% out of the air. It's funny thing to see some newcomer thinking he's more experienced than official middleman which alone requires few hundreds trades to meet requirements for it lol. For few years my vouch thread was #1 the biggest on Sythe forums, I'm #3 now 5 years after I stopped collecting vouches, do some research about person you're talking about before you start talking bullshit, or simply as you said, if you don't have anything to add do not participate in discussion.

 

A small sample size, but that's better than nothing, well done. Some traders I've worked with run f2p farms and complete thousands of trades per day, every day. ALL their mules get banned, constantly. They profit just enough to keep it going, but the constant bans really eat into profits.

Same goes for p2p farmers, stakers, lottery/gambling website accounts - they lose large chunks of profit due to RWT bans. Like I said, Jagex doesn't mess around with RWT sellers.

When you refer to 1% of TRADES incurring mule bans - that sounds about right. When we talk about ban percentage of ACCOUNTS involved in RWT - that number goes much higher, depending on activities and trade sizes it can reach up to 100% (banrate). An account involved in RWT almost never stops after 1 trade.

The rest of your post is childish ego self-stroking, and doesn't warrant a reply. Simply don't call out people for wanting to participate in relevant and interesting discussion. Instead, participate yourself.

 

This is completely wrong. There are people here who have used the same accounts to RWT for years and have not gotten banned on them. I have done 1 trade on my 10 year old main in the past and got banned instantly after. Now I've done a ton of trades on a fresh mule and have not gotten banned yet.

Their system is flawed, to say the least.
