simple solution to a growing problem.

I see this every time when i come into the runescape picture part of sythe.

People posting useless comments like "oo nice" and "nice account!" all in an attempt to raise their post count for the black market portion.

For example, I saw this today.



Now, you can tell by his name he is selling pins. And what a better way than to spam your way up to a few hundred posts then to spam without concequence!

I think you should crack down on these people, or, limit the posts on different threads in a forum in 30 minutes.

Maybe the screen would look something like this.

"You have mode posts in too many different threads within the time limit.

Please wait XX:XX before continuing to post."

Suggested category's to exclude: Spam, General, Something for all.

You've been here what 11 Months and you have 1000+ posts? You not really one to complain. Also, theres whats called a "report" button on the top right hand corner of the post. If you see any spam, report it. When it asks for a reason state "Spam".

Theres a difference between high post count and spamming.

I know where there is a report button, don't act like I am a moron.




Now that I have your attention I have been here since 2005 under a different name, after the hack I changed it because I didn't like the name that I had.

I had my pass and user saved to my computer with firefox so i didnt have to remember it...

Alright then, if you know where the report button is USE it instead of trying to create more work for people. Like they don't have enough on thier hands at the moment.

 

Optikal does have a point =s. Try using the report button, your report wont get answered immediately, but itll get responded to eventually.

 

Ah I see Sha. Hmm, What about in certain sections that are spam-prone, Set a minimum number of words you have to type to be able to post it. Ive seen it before and I think it would work in this situation.

 

Whatever, it's just a suggestion, damn. It wasn't meant to spark flames against me how I'm stupid and I don't know how to use the report button whatever.

It doesn't effect me because I don't buy in the black market, but when people start complaining about being scammed by a grand master, I will be laughing.
