Crumb's recent videos

Not sure if it bothers many of you or if you are aware but do you think these recent videos Crumb is making about RS blackmarket and underground things is going to bring some heat on some of the gold sellers or other activities going on in the Sythe community? iv noticed there getting quite a bit of attention.

Would just like to give you all a friendly reminder to be careful with giving out or posting pictures of your RSN's on here or even name/gold selling

Jagex are already more than well aware of these activities. The videos are mainly exploiting the fact that people are nosey/curious about the scale of the black market and perhaps want a better insight into some of the workings in order to get views. I wouldn't imagine they'll lead to an increase in bans or anything but it is a shame to see certain details exposed.

interesting stuff but i dont think jagex can do anything about it, hiding ur rsn is just common sense imo

 

Anyone have a mirror of the x'ing video? I don't see why anyone is upset about it being released considering x'ing is being killed Thursday.

 

Jagex only really care about their own image. They'll ban some RWT'ers, bots and stakers to make it look like they're making a lot of effort to combat them, but in reality it's not really worth investing too many resources into it. Maybe his videos will bring more attention to specific areas as they've been blowing up a lot, but I seriously doubt it'd have any long lasting effects.

The x'ing video was probably taken down because he uploaded it before odds staking was removed from the game, and he tried to avoid the blame for any drama at the expense of the guy that gave him all the information in the first place. That probably wasn't the smartest idea.

 

not to mention jagex is wholly incompetent

to little to late doesen't begin to describe it. they really dont try as hard as people think just consider how much they accomplish and how often they pull that much off

 

People have been making videos "documenting RWT" for over a decade now. His videos are very surface-level, contain common knowledge & will have zero effect.

 

Cant really remember any videos that made it to main stream as such

 

The only videos on those kinds of topics that I remember ever being large were the ones Silentcore made years ago, but I don't think anything ever happened as a result of those videos either.

 

I saw when he uploaded x video. I was too lazy to watch. Next day it was already gone haha.

Reminds me of the government how they profit from wars.

 

As someone who was directly impacted by Crumb's video I believe he did a great job at touching the surface of the RuneScape gambling/gold selling community. There was obviously a lot of information that was left out in each video, but for the sole purpose of pleasing his fan base as well as providing them insight as to the stuff that goes on everyday, he did a great job.

 

I guess crumb's next video should be on gambling sites, y'all going ham at each other haha.
