I'm looking to get more serious about fitness with Uni coming up soon, along with the fact I'm just generally unhappy with the state of my body and going to the gym alone with protein shakes hasn't been as effective as I'd like; I'm beginning to feel disheartened about the situation and want to try something new.

I've heard good and bad things about Ephedrine, particularly when mixed in an ECA Stack - Likely to be a 25mg:200mg:80mg (Ephedrine/Caffeine/Aspirin), twice a day on a '5 days on 2 days off' cycle.
Naturally, it's banned in the US so I realize a lot of people won't have taken it (It's part of the amphetamine/methamphetamine family I believe?)

    Plus points:
+ Energy boosts. Simple one, that.
+ Suppresses appetite (I do tend to snack more than I'd like :$)
+ Supposedly good for burning fat while maintaining muscle definition [Saw this on the internet on a few reviews so only going by that]
+ Supposedly helps burn fat even when not working out (While I do plan to continue my week gym schedule I currently have, it's nice to know if I miss one or have a weak session it won't be worthless)

    Negative points:
    - Was clearly made illegal in the US for a reason.
    - It supposedly can be addictive if abused, hence the 5:2 cycle [Again, saw this on the internet so not confirmed

The point of this is I would like to know what other Syther's who actually care about their health think about the product.

its hard drugs plain and simple. has as much benefits to physical fitness as methamphetamine does (none) will make you lose weight by cannibalizing muscle and any energy received by it is all artificial. AVOID it like the plague.

The ECA stack has been known to be lethal in excessive amounts, unless you're like 8% bodyfat looking to get to the 4-5% mark, I highly DO NOT suggest an ECA stack.

I need to know more about what you're goals are, because if you're already pretty fit with excessive fat there are MUCH better alternatives to losing fat, I am assuming you're not bulking so I'll leave that out of the picture

2 things I will express my opinion on.

1- If you want to take an energy booster, whether it has caffeine or amphetamine, I highly suggest taking pre-workouts, ESPECIALLY if it is your first time doing so. These have caffeine and all that stuff that will increase the intensity of your workouts, thus it can indirectly lead to what is resulted in an ECA stack.

2- Intermittent Fasting & High intensity interval training (HIIT)
    - Google and research up these two concepts, I know for a fact this is probably what you're looking for, it is designed to lose fat very very quickly and maintain/build the muscle you have.
    **
A brief idea of what they are_
Intermittent Fasting - This is NOT a diet, however it is a concept on WHEN to eat your meals, it generally goes by the idea that whatever you usually eat during the day (such as your 6 meals a day), you eat EVERYTHING in a 6 hour window. For example, if you're eating 2500 calories a day, you eat 2500 calories from 2pm-8pm, and the rest you are FASTING.

    - Research has found this has been proven to be very very effective for overall mental and physical health & wellbeing, and very good at losing fat because of how much time there is given to allow your body to burn FAT for energy.

HIIT - This is basically short, intense workouts, based on sprinting, working at maximal intensity to produce the effects of an ECA stack, what they are suggesting when they say "it burns fat when you do nothing", they are talking about "The Afterburn Effect" or more scientifically known as "EPOC". - In short, EPOC is when you're body is sucking up more oxygen than you need, and thus, more oxygen = more fat burnt because fat requires more oxygen.

___ HIIT revolves around doing SPRINTS then resting, and then doing sprints again, this means you work at 90-95% MAX Heart Rate, and therefore, leads to the effects stated above while maintaining muscle.

    ______________

Both concepts have legitimacy on research and as well as reviews.
Both are targetting your goals, however, I definitely would like to mention such workouts like HIIT can burn you out fast, you must be really motivated because it is hard, good luck!
