To Auron: Agalloch is a black metal band, and an amazing one at that.

As for old school Death Metal you could try BloodBath. They are new old death metal, it was created by Mikael Akerfeldt of Opeth. He was getting sick and tired of shitty new age death metal so he made an Old School one.
