Public Relations team

Also in @Wonderland "What would you change if you were in charge?" is dismantling the PR (Public Relations) team. Quoted from the PR teams App "Our mission is to attract new users to the community. The way we try to do this is through mediums like social media or any off-site advertising we can get. We also try to ensure that we are able to retain new members and ease their integration into the community as best as possible. This includes teaming up with the CDT in events and giveaways, and attempting to advertise them to newer members." You can already see that CDT is involved in PR, @King and @Mootrucks both were firm on combining CDT and PR to make 1 larger team. Regardless, CDT is based on Community development, PR is based on Community size increase, the ability to help the site grow. I think that giving the PR team members the option to join CDT would not only benefit CDT but also give CDT a different take on growing the community, outside of Sythe as well as inside. Voted yes on the poll. Havent seen anything good come from the PR since the great leader of the Q4 2016 era left.

Dont even know of any successes or what they do atm.

 

I believe they are two different things, community development pretty much engages the community as a whole inside the community which of course attracts new members. PR is something like channel managing Sythe > Other Communities. Such as engaging with lets say osbot and tribot etc seeing how all the forums in general can compliment each other and grow. Also PR should handle things like member communication on aspects that affect sythe in both good and bad ways basically building sythes reputation.

The two teams are in the midst of discussing a possible merger so that there is only one community team. Technical Core will still remain its own team however.
