I decided i needed to take my
sig making to the next level
Tech sigs I made this today
it took a while i like it
personally i sorta messed up
the text but waht do you think
Its in my sig

 

old school soccer ball = old
tech =new

therefore old*new = your sig

so

your sig - old = new

tech sig + new =good

so basically take out the soccer ball

 

I'll be honest with you, it's not very good.

IMO, it's a below average tech signature. As i said in that other guys first tech sig thread, MAKE THEM SYMMETRICAL.

That means if you put a mirror down the center of the signature it would be the same on BOTH sides. They really do look a lot better like that.

I can't really see any advanced effects so i can't see why it took you so long.
The green section is just a green fill, with a patten placed over the top to create scan lines. Then some bad text.

The football section is bad. Yeah, on most occasions you should really mix new and old, as Xjaa said.

That section is a football placed on the section and then a grudge effect placed over it, and set to a blending mode.

Get rid of the white borders completly.

If you take my advice, you should learn the pen tool, then your sigs will probably improve.

If you just spent about 30 minutes making a better one it could blow this one away. You could detail the background a little bit more and delete the soccer ball since it's kind of random besides to go with your name.Also, delete that thing about the green box, thats not very good looking.

 

Tech sigs need just as much attention to lighting and depth as anything else.

it's not very tech either, it's just some hard lines, grunge, and terrible scan lines. Scan lines are not meant to go onto borders, and should be blended in (via soft light, or opacity changes).

it's all too random.
