This thread is to remember those who lost their lives in the tragic attack on The United States of America. Post your sarrows and stories of the tragic day. We shall remember this day in our hearts forever, but we have learned a life long lesson. We have all lived through this caos. Take a moment and reflect on what happened that day. Think about where you were and what you were doing at the time. The day thousands if not millions of voices cryed. Voices of those dieing horribly. Voices of those who lost loved ones. Please take a moment and leave a space in your heart for those who suffered.

Peace in the world.. It can be achived.

nicely said. a few spelling mistakes here and there but otherwise good job. i will always remember that day. i was sitting at home watching my favorite show as a young kid (power rangers) when they interrupted the show and news came on. and i spent the rest of the day watching the towers smoke and fall. I was too young at the time to have any idea what was going on but still remember it. i feel so sorry for all those who lost their family members/friends.

Rest in peace all who died that day....so many needless deaths. Please don't let this turn into a "who did 9/11" thread. Lets just take a second to reflect on all those deaths...it's really sad..

I remember that, I was in bed sick with the television on and it showed these planes flying into building, I was dis-orientated so I automatically assumed it was an action movie, but then my father came and told me what had happened, it interrupted all television for about 2 - 3 days.

    Beep...beep...beep

My alarm sounded, just as it had every morning. I got out of bed, went into the bathroom. Shower, brush teeth, get dressed. Just like every morning. I had breakfast, packed my bag, get ready to catch the bus, just like every morning.

I hopped on the bus, stared out the window. Great day for this sixth grade kid.

Get to school, go to my room. Sit through English, sit through Science, through French. We go to lunch, everyone is talking about something different.

"Bradd, did you hear that the white house exploded, the president is dead or missing!"

"Oh man Bradd, the statue of liberty got bombed!"

"We were in our room watching the Pentagon burning, the entire thing was up in flames, you could hardly even see it anymore, then the principal came in and turned it off."

Our school kept us in the dark about it. Everyone knew SOMETHING was up, but what? Our teachers wouldn't tell us, they weren't allowed to. It's 5-8 grade at this school, and all of us were clueless. All we were sure of was something was happening to our country.

I sit through the rest of the day, it was pretty unproductive. All we wanted to know what was going on, but we weren't mature enough for it yet, or so the school department said. Finally, when I boarded the bus, I knew what had happened.

The driver, who I had known since I was about five years old, (bear in mind this is a town with around 7,000 people, we all know each other.) announces that our nation had been attacked. No, the President isn't dead. Yes, the Pentagon had gotten attacked, but wasn't completely blown up. The World Trade Center had been attacked and now was completely destroyed.

Now, call me stupid if you want, but I had no clue what the World Trade Center was. I knew it by the name of The Twin Towers, luckily someone else on the bus that knew them by both names informed me of what they were. Traveling with my dad, I had plenty of chances to see them, go in them, check them out, and had frequently. Now they're gone? It didn't really register with me.

I got home and saw it for the first time. They had flown planes into them? The Pentagon as well? And to see the heroism of those on Flight 93, who knew their lives were over, and decided to save countless more, it all brought tears to my eyes. Seeing people leaping from the burning towers, seeing the towers fall with our brothers and sister inside. Seeing the towers collapse, and knowing those brave firefighters, those brave officers, had gone into the burning buildings with no regard for the safety of themselves, and had died doing what they do, saving countless others.

Then the death toll rolled in. How many? Thousands?. Yet again, I was young. The numbers didn't mean as much to me then as they mean to me now, and even though they are lower, 2,975 American lives lost are 2,975 too many.*

I will never forget where I was on this day. I will never forget exactly what I was doing, and never forget the feeling of realizing that I had just seen the worse attack on American soil since Pearl Harbor.

Please, do not bash the war here. Do not bash the Islamic faith. Do not mock the deaths of Americans. No, instead, let us all simply remember. Remember the day when we were attacked, sucker punched from behind, and vow to never forget this day.

    Always remember 9/11.

Don't remember what grade I was in, but I remember watching the telly the very few hours after it happened. I was in Chorus at school, our principal was crying over the loudspeaker when he announced every teacher in the building to turn the T.V. on and to cancel class for the rest of the day. We were all thrilled but never had the chance to fully understand what just happened, since we were so young and naive. Nowadays, I fully understand what happened, how, and why. It is a sad thing to see such innocent people pass away in such a horrible and senseless act.

I feel as though everyone in the U.S. has been affected by it, in one way or another, even the haters. I personally am feeling the effect because my sister is over in Iraq doing special ops for this very reason.

Rest in peace all who died, and I will never forgive the main person for the attack he claims responsibility for.

Now that I think about it, at first when the principal came over the loudspeaker he said to turn the tv on. Then, now that I think about it 5 minutes after everyone was ordered to turn them off and continue class as scheduled.
And yeah, before seeing the movie made for flight 93, I never really understood just what those people did. After watching that movie a while ago, every time my clock hits "9:11" am or pm, I always think about what happened. Call my bluff if you feel you must, but sincerely, I always think about the attacks, even 6 years after, every "9:11".

I feel for those who lost loved ones, and I do recall watching people jump from hundreds of feet in the air from the burning towers.
Remembering that alone is bringing down my mood, innit?

    P.s.
To Dubya, I have a great amount of respect for you typing ALL of that out from your heart.
