What should I buy? (Tough decision for me)

I have $120 in the safe. I have thought of 2 major things that I wanted:

My first option is a Tv, because id like to watch tv in my own room instead of going to the living room or my brothers room just to watch it. Its rare though thats both tv's are occupied. (Edited)

The second option is an Electric guitar kit or set. I wanted to buy the guitar itself, that comes with the cord, amp, and most possibly a guide(i never played a guitar b4). This would be a really good hobby for me since my room has nothing exept a bed, desk, a fan and a nintendo ds(I plan to work next summer to get my bedroom a make-over.)

I really don't want opinions on people who like rap either.(Edited)

Does anyone have suggestions? Please post what you would pick if you were in this crisis. (jk about it being a crisis )

 

I'd go with the T.V.

 

Learning an instrument can be very challenging and rewarding, but T.V's just T.V. Go with the guitar

When do you most need the TV? When your brother's asleep and your parents are watching tv.
You definately can't play guitar when your brother is asleep.

I'd say tv, dependinh how much you would use it in situaitons not like that

Save you money mate. Seriously, hide it or whatever, but save it.

Save your money for a bit, then start spending, but make sure you try keep over $100 in the bank at all times, if thats possible.

If you've got your heart set on a guitar, then save maybe $150 - $300 if possible and get something good. When it comes to something you have a passion for, you cant act on that passion using a piece of shit guitar.

If the TV appeals more to you, then save the same amount of money and get a really good TV.

Maybe neither??
If you want an iPod or a game console, buy something off eBay if you can. Save your money for a computer game, maybe buy like a new bike or something, there are heaps of things you can blow your hard-earned cash on, as i found out (thank god for girlfriends, eh?).

Well about the electric guitar, I just want it just to make it a little hobby of mines. I know that low-price guitars are crappy, but this is just for fun. I don't want to be a musician in the future. Just want to clear that up.

I saw one on ebay for $56 total with shipping. I dunno if their lying, but it looks like they are a company that made tons of sales.
Can someone with electric guitar experience help me? Im looking forward to the guitar.

what people are saying about buying an 80$ guitar is true.. but where you gonna get a tv with good picture for 80?.. myself, ive played guitar for 6 months i can go to ultimate guitar tabs.com or somethign and i can play nearly any song i want. go for the guitar, atleast then you cna feel you've accomplished something.

$80 won't get you a good starter kit. You'll be frustrated with a bad guitar. So get a tv for now.

 

$90 is more than 1/4 of a $185 paycheck.

Also, just put it in the bank and save for something that won't be an $80 piece of shit.

out of those two, second one is better. first one is a kids guitar lol, its gonna be wayy to small for you unless your 6 years old right now. playing guitar takes time, practice and commitment, dont expect to be any good with it any time soon if u get it. i would go with guitar since its pretty fun to play when u get the hang of things.

#1 dont give any money to ur parents. you worked for it you deserve it.
#2 no pc in ur room??!! wtf? save $800 or so and buy urself a pc.
#3 dont buy crap guitars. no matter if you wanna be the next hendrix or just want a hobby, crap guitars are useless for either.
