I asked for advice from Gen and he said to post here, i'll copy and paste what i said because i find it hard to explain:

Yesterday i purchased an osrs firecape service from idential, he said he could start straight away so i gave him my details. He then kept saying his electricity kept going off and he needed more time, which is understandable if it was happening. This went on for a few hours and eventually i needed to go out so left him to it.

I checked skype today and he had messaged last night saying he had completed the service, i tried logging into my account and i've been banned for macroing major. Now the only time i botted on the account was january from which i received a 2 day ban and stopped. I did ahk blackjacking about 6 weeks ago for about 20 minutes and the possibility from being banned for that is tiny, which leads to me to believe idential got me perma banned by botting somehow.

I asked him for a pic of the jad kill and he said he stopped taking them ages ago, which made me more suspicious because why wouldnt he take a screenshot just to prove he done the service incase of a something going wrong.

He reckons that the ban was probably for using his service but why would they ban me for macroing major instead of rwt and i cant find anybody even banned for firecaping before.

Its all just a strange situation really but i'm wondering where do i go from here, mostly i just dont want others losing their accounts the same way.

@Idential Care to elaborate on the situation?

 

I suggested that the ban could be for using my firecape service since that is bannable (mentioned by chrisarchie) he did not tell me the reason het got banned. I never used macroing devices for doing firecapes, all my services are handdone as declared on my thread. In this case probably the ban could be using ahk, since jagex now tracks the usage of ahk. Please add me on skype to further resolve this. Further i would advise kerf to go to the account ban support section and appeal a ban. This might lead in his account being not permanently banned anymore.

i didnt take a screenshot of the jad kill unfortunately. However, i did complete his firecape (this can be confirmed by kerf since the firecape is on his account as we speak)

 

I was banned before i had a chance to get back on the account, thats why i asked for the screeny of the jad kill over skype to confirm you had done it. I saw your message on skype to say you'd done it and my account was disabled when i tried to log in.


I put an appeal in also to see what they say, it says upto 28 days for a reply

 

i can 100% confirm that the cape was on the account.

 

@Idential From now on, I recommend screenshotting your jad kills for your own safety in situations like this.

 

In the future i will most definitely not make this mistake again. Apologies for this.

 

After further reviewing this report there is not enough sufficient evidence to suggest you did or did not bot on the account.

@Idential Let this be a warning, I highly RECOMMEND screenshotting proof of fire cape, ETC.
