please post scamms even without proof

Even if you do not have proof people should be aloud to report people. The person will not be banned of course but it will allow people to later go to the archives and look up someones username and see if they were ever accused of scamming. This will give people a small heads up that a person might be a scammer, but without proof they cannot be banned.

 

Yes, but a false "small heads-up" could hurt a legit persons business.

 

Yeah, someone could just post a thread saying so and so scammed just out of spite.

Proof is always needed, to make sure he/she actually did scam.

 

Very, very bad idea. Like people have already said. You could hurt people's reputation and trades if they allowed this. And think, then you could get a group of friends together, and post like 10 scammer reports about one person. Unless you were really loyal to a buyer/seller, most people wouldn't trade him for a while.

Annex made a perfect example of why it's a bad idea. He posted about my PayPal issue, it only affected TWO people, maybe THREE, on this entire site, except people read the first post, and nothing else, and now many people think I attempted to scam someone, when that isn't even what closed to happen.

 

Yea This is a bad bad bad idea like Most every 1 else said it could realy hurt some ones rep....and pointless reporting means nothing

 

eh that does make since, but i think it might help, but it can also do harm, so we proabably shouldnt

 

It's also that much more work for the mods who handle Report a Scammer.
