Character Account Selling.

If you havnt noticed almost all the accounts sold here are always scammed back repeadtly and no one is able to stop them because it is too hard to track what accounts have been sold. Here are very helpful sugesstions that will help sythe have safer account trades. You may think this is a bad Idea but I come from Wartnet.org and rsmarket.org and these market rules are very sucessfull.

Having the accounts recoveries unset make the buyer feel assured but in no way does it make the account any safer. If the seller has the first password he/she can unset the recoveries any time he/she wants even if the buyer has set their own recoveries. The seller may unset the recoveries and not give the buyer the first password making it impossible for them to recover if it is stolen back. The MM doing the trade should fill out an appeal with the first password and instead of instantly changing the password go to. Someone else knows my recoveries, and since the recoveries are unset the process will be very quick. If it is denied saying that you need older passwords that means the seller has lied and the first password is wrong. If it says you need more membership info, than you need more membership info. You may also need contact details to recover. This will help buyers to not get scammed because they will have 100% control of the account so if it gets taken back then can ban the account.


Secondly this form was implicated first on www.wartnet.org and it has been used to help control account sales. Its helpful because you can have 2 trusted people have the forms and before an account is sold you can check if there already is one of that, so if there is than it has been scammed back.

This is also suggested that your characters have set recoveries. If you are worried about the "Trusted" person scamming than have two people with half of the password to acess the files. IF they want to view it they must identify themselves and prove they are who they say they are. If you do use this I gurantee you there will be less scams on Sythe.

This is already being done by some users. It's the MM's job to do this.

 

If you made it neccasary it would be better. Since only some mms do it. Also the scammers when they take back accounts the about all the time use a differnt MM

 

It should be necessary, i'm sick of people bitching at me because i mm'ed and some dude recovered.
