Well I guess I should make one of these...

Well before I start, I'd just like to say that I don't expect to be unbanned. I've seen so many disputes come and go, and half the time I'm the one arguing against disputes like mine, so I knew how it works, and the standard procedure.

So why dispute you ask? Well there's always a little hope, but mostly because many people have begged me to do so, clinging to the thought I may be unbanned, and because I'd at least like people to know the truth before I go.

Well firstly, I guess, is the act of telling people exactly why, or at least why I have been told, that I was banned. It all started last year some time, before I had come to Sythe, when I was on Fagex. I actually became an official MM there, which was nice. Anyway I had a friend called James I'd speak to know and then on MSN, and one day he told me he had found out how to get bandages out of Castle Wars, you simple get into a game, and once in click the portal and just as it said "Loading" (or just before, I can't exactly remember) you yanked out your internet cord, then RS thought you were still in CW when you had been teled out.

Now this was great news to me, as not long before that, I had been showed a video by Pyro 214 that depicted him somehow getting out of a Castle Wars game before it had ended (this was not show as to conceal his dupe), then going to the duel arena and dueling his friend about a minute before the CW game RS thought he was in, was about to end. Then once he was in the duel, and the Castle Wars game ended, he's be auto-tellied back to the CW room, with the item he first dueled back in his inventory. Now that means he was teled out of his duel, and RS thought he was still in a duel. So he went back to the duel arena, and started a duel with a friend. They both put up nothing, but the friend just forfeited, and Pyro received the same item that he had put up before, back in his inventory, because RS thought that he was still in a duel, so he received two of that item.

Now I don't even know if Pyro faked this vid with information he stole from Ughster or whether he just copied an old bug or whether it was legit, but we used this method with the way that my friend had came up with. Now as many people may have heard in the IRC and such, I had no money, nor did James, and the dupe took quite a while to get right, having to wait until CW ended, and lots of time, getting the timing of the internet cord pulled out. Also it took two people to do the dupe, and James was in the US I think, and it's not like I was going to go tell anyone, so there wasn't that much duping done. I think we duped a few Rune Plates and tried getting our cash up and up, but were fearful as we knew Jagex could fix this at any moment.

So I decided to try and sell the dupe, hopefully for something like a phat or rare or so, something I could dupe over and over as quick as possible, so as to get some good gain from this dupe. I originally posted on TO and then linked to that post on Fagex. Then one of the Fagex mods saw this, and banned me for scamming, assuming I was making the dupe up, probably because I refused to tell him how the dupe worked (I mean if you had a dupe, would you tell anyone for free?) Anyway, so I was banned, and was pretty pissed of, but in the end I said to myself, "Damn Fagex, I'll join Sythe and hand out there."

So I did, until recently they heard about what happened, and I have been banned for that on Fagex.

Now that's pretty much the story, for those of you wanting to know. Now I guess I should note that I have been banned for being banned on Fagex for attempted scamming (wow quite a mouthful) so I have been banned for attempted scamming.

Well the thing is I really cannot prove I had a dupe, and I understand that, but there is also no proof that I did not have one. I really don't see the grounds for banning me, though I can sympathize with the staff. I mean the whole idea of a dupe is, well even more these days, looked upon as something pretty much impossible, and the mere sound of it makes you reach for the ban hammer. But I do insist you take into account the fact that it is indeed possible that I did posses a way to do it.

So I guess that's my "Dispute" for what I did. It's up to you to look over it, but if you do not believe it, I will respect your decision and not post a bunch of stupid annoying posts pleading my innocence. I just beg you to think, and I really don't want to sound arrogant here (but I may well), that though I will probably lose Sythe here, and a few great friends, who is really at a loss? I have modded to the best of my abilities, helped out those in need as much as I could, and really done the best I could to be a great all round member. I have helped Curt with his graphics, chatted to x9 about religion and fun, discussed the banning and modding of other members with the staff in the staff forum (oh the irony ) and had some great chats in the SFA and Off-Topic forum. I don't want to sound cocky, but if I am not unbanned, I guess I will not really be around anymore, and I will probably not hang in the IRC much.

I guess it's up to you guys, post what you need.

As far as I'm concerned, while what went down on Fagex may be considered a little bit shady, it's ultimately very hard to prove that he did not actually have the bug...

As most of you know I own Tainted-ones.com and have a very large amount of experience in the area of bug abuse... I can personally verify that the method he mentioned to get out of CW's and trick the game into thinking you were still in DID work. I was never able to dupe with it, and I never really believed Pyro 214's video, but afterwards I did find a small amount of evidence that lead me to believe there MIGHT have been a dupe.

But in the end, all of this is irrelevant, because there is very little you guys can do to prove that he did not actually have a dupe - and did he actually scam anyone? no.

I'd really just like to see more solid evidence.

P.S. I'm sure this post isn't articulated nearly as well as I intended... 4 AM and artificially awake on coffee, go figure.

 

As far as I know, Pyro's was fake. That's not to say Atomic didn't make one, but it's no grounds to say he did either. And a dupe would not stay silent this long, especially since Pyro had half the forums trying to follow his method. That Atomic would be the only one to copy it or modify it is dubious - though possible.
