Question about Gangster Greed / Other Cash Sites

Some dude had a post about it to get membership or whatever but he had referral links so it got deleted. Anyways, someone on that thread said that you didn't have to take the survey you just had to click the link and it would put a cookie on your computer and then you could mark it as complete. Is that for real or bullshit or what? Is there a way to get around actually taking the surveys? And is there another site with a lower cashout like 5$ or lower?
