I'm confused. User is A) very new and B) requests an unban to most likely use the market again but gets the DNT rank assigned instead? I highly doubt he's here for the community.

The DNT rank is here so that we aren't seeing "banned" everywhere, it's not very pleasing to new users eyes.
Being that he is a new member, who knows, he may start peaking interest in the community
