Using KTS forms when selling accounts, will make it much safer for both parties.

Jag(e)x now has a even higher standerd of proof than befor ip location, member's information, and old passwords are at the highest priority they ever were, recoveries dont matter near as much as they did in the past. So with all that said never attempt to unset your recoveries.

1. The Character has set Recoveries. The longer they have been set the better. A Strength of Set Recoveries, is it allows you to see the DATE they were last set.

This gives you an idea of how long the character has been around, and also, if recoveries were set in the past 14 days, that might be a "RED FLAG" that a scammer is trying to exploit the KTS, by hastily unsetting or overwriting recoveries. Remember, a Set Recovery Date cannot be faked! This is a valuable thing.

2. The Contact details are either Unset, or are Set with KNOWN answers. Again, Contact Details are unable to be RESET. If a Char has Contact details which are UNSET this is a GREAT CHARACTER to buy because once you are the first one to put in contacts, YOU have more proof that YOU are the ORIGINAL OWNER in Jag(e)x's eyes.

Also, if Recoveries were set last August, but Contacts are set Feb 8th of this year, this may be a sign that someone's trying to "set" you up. What would be the reason that you'd see a char with contacts and recoveries so different?

a. The char was recently sold, but they were given recovery answers
and so they just set Contact details with their new information (rare
and unlikely)

b. The owner has moved, so they changed their contact details, but left
their recoverys the same as when they lived at their old location
(Again, rare and unlikely.) Besides. there's not really
a "good reason" to update your new info. Jag(e)x doesn't have you
on a Mailing List, and they don't use your address in any way to
verify your Membership when you get a subscription.

c. The owner might be attempting a scam, who recently changed their
contacts so it will easily verify, and with the intention of using
their "actual" older, now overwritten contact information to "prove" to
Jag(e)x that they are who they claim to be, and that
"someone" faked their contact information (Most Likely)

To summarize, the OLDER, the dates of Contacts, members information, and Set Recovs, the more STABLE a KTS Character is. If a Char has both Unset Recs, and Unset Contacts, this is almost a guaranteed safe trade.

3. A KTS Character with members history has to have verifiable Members data (PINS, Trans #'s Etc.) Members- Due to jag(e)x haveing such a overwelming demand on haveing your members information, This is now a must. You absolutely need some form of members information when becomeing Wts certified.

4. without getting Jag(e)x Involved. The KTS information is kept on file, much the way all my WCC information was kept. In case a recovery was needed, I'd have the info needed to possibly recover the char (again recoveries are risky). As a last resort, I can easily have a character banned, if it's stolen back. Especially now that Jag(e)x is so ban happy. Let me put it another way:

SCAMMERS: Take back the char, and you'll most likely lose the character yourself,and be permantly banned from reinet. Its is easier than ever to have your char perm banned if you attempt this.

First off before you even think about contacting Adi for a KTS' you need to know what it is.

Basic information
A KTS stands for "Kossu Trading Standard"
For a KTS you contact Adi. What happens is you PM her the filled-out form, then you Give him the money, and then she performs the KTS.
On the form will be several questions about your account, that way it ensures a safe trade with for both parties.
As soon as the KTS is done, Adi will PM you if it passed the KTS or not.

You have to Pass KTS.

"So what do I have to do to pass a KTS?"

You have to supply enough information so that Adi can recover your account. If she can recover it, you pass. If you paid by Credit Card then you MUST know the agreement number for it. If you paid by phone, the pin is needed, but if you know it please supply.

But, be aware she checks date things are set too, if you set the recoveries etc. that day, it makes you have an even less chance of passing KTS.
You can't put in faulty information or you will not pass.

"How safe is a KTS?"

As safe as we can make it. If they take the character back, we can take it back so that you don?t lose it. Or if it gets into a take back war we can get the account banned! And they don?t get it either! That is the purpose of a KTS.
