Gold Sellers Must Have Prices in Title

Hey guys.

I'd just like to make a quick suggestion, now that we can edit our own titles, it'd be a lot easier for people that own gold shops to add their current, up to date price in title. This would really help make the market more competitive, as people could compare rates much faster.

I recall this suggestion being shot down before due to the fact that mods would become swarmed and it would be difficult to keep it up to date, but that shouldn't be an issue anymore.

 

The market might eventually go there by itself. If one gold shop puts their prices in their title and keeps it up-to-date and other gold shops see that it helps the one gold shop gain more customers the other gold shops will follow.

I dont think it should be enforced though.

 

As a user not owning a rsgp a business i'd love to see this implemented. If I had a rsgp shop though i'd hate it so much to always keep the price in my thread title updated.

This would also shut down profits even more since people will just keep undercutting each other (it's already happening, this wil' increase that even more)

 

I think this would probably become very annoying to have to edit a bunch of titles every time prices change... Prices could change as quickly as day to day and for a gold shop like won gold for example who has 15 topics across all games, that would just be incredibly annoying to have to do every day.

Edit: also since there is no rule forcing gold sellers to honor prices on there threads this is pretty useless.

 

I would have to disagree as I myself am not on often enough to keep refreshing the page and changing the price 24/7. I have noticed when i change my price to 1.27/m within 5-10 minutes someone will go 1 cent lower to attract customers, I believe it was mentioned that we couldn't change our titles constantly and if we do there would be consequences as this is spam..

What would we do if their price isn't up to date? Is it really fair to infract someone for not having the price up to date in their title? I know many livechat workers sometimes will up the price significantly when they have no stock in order to slow down orders, so what would happen since they don't have access to changing the title?

It's unfair to put unnecessary restrictions in the market.

There is no good reason to force people to do this, if someone is too lazy to compare rates it's their own issue.
