ok, so i got gimp, and was wondering what you thought of my sig thing i made...

way to huge...looks like you found that in a site and just pasted here....ugly

 

i like it, the guy looks kinda weak though, like he looks like he has no muscle

 

That background looks ripped, but oh well. It's alright I suppose, a picture on a background at the end of the day. Try adding more interesting things in there, perhaps exciting brushes/colours and have fun with layers.

I agree with everything the people above me said, but to add on, I think you should have tried blend in the lower part of the render a bit.
