Not much of a gambling man myself - but this will be a super interesting election. IF Trump wins this, I'm not sure what approach the left will take next go-around as they've literally pulled almost every card I can think of.

Did anyone watch the debate last night? Pence vs Harris actually was a MUCH better representation of facts and policies than the typical Biden vs Trump garbage. Pence destroyed Harris.

Frankly, Trump is an idiot and if he had a clue on how to represent himself in a good light he'd do much better. His personality by far is the worst part of this presidency. His policies themselves are actually not that bad, but the guy's mouth get him into more hot water than his actual actions.

Democrats have gone too far with the stretching stories, narratives, misreading/misguiding, and general lying. There are huge flaws within their current campaign but because the current media is incredibly left-biased and don't ask those hard questions because there's a fly on Pence's head.

I reiterate that I think Trump is a buffoon but looking beyond personalities I still side with the right's policies rather than the left's.

Not just his policies are helping the United States but even the trade deals he has ironed out between Canada and Mexico are beneficial!
The peace keeping treaties that he has signed, sealed and delivered in the Middle East has been beyond a game changer as well.

Personality aside, how would anyone act / react when you have a million fingers pointing at you and trying to demise you every chance they get.
    It’s awful

True enough. Fast forward 8 years, the narrative will quiet and we will hear more clearly about what had been accomplished during this presidency. There have been good things Trump has done, but with 90% of media coverage being negative about him - who'd be surprised to think that most of it is lost in the fog created by the media.

I think that both Republicans and Democrats are part of the same problem. They will both continue the war abroad, war on drugs, and Federal Reserve money system, as well as endless spending and taxation. There are third options to choose from and I'm going to be voting for Jo Jorgenson. The Libertarian party will actually provide freedoms rather than continue what Democrats and Repulicans have for decades.

Fair enough - it would be nice to see new options for upcoming elections. I wonder how that would ever happen?

The only way to break a two-party rule is to implement a new voting system that replaces First Past the Post. You may vote for one and only one candidate, but that means you cannot vote for who you WANT to vote for if your preference isn’t a popular candidate in a major party. That is, your vote for a third-party or underdog is essentially a waste, forcing you to vote strategically, reinforcing two-party rule.

Instead, we could implement a ranked voting system such as Alternative Voting. In this way, you can vote on all candidates in order of preference. If your number 1 candidate is eliminated, your number 2 receives your vote. Multiple voting rounds are simulated by procedurally eliminating the candidates in last place after displacing losers’ votes until one candidate remains. Now someone can rank their most preferred candidate while being assured to know their least preferred candidate won’t benefit from their third-party support.

To be frank, a vote for a third party with our current system in this year’s election in particular is a wasted vote; you might as well not vote at all.

Even if you look now at what Trump has done for the states you can’t argue he’s been all bad. His biggest downfall is he is the class clown and speaks his mind but he gets shit done.

This is the first I've heard of this - can you elaborate?

How have Trump's policies affected your/your family's business enterprises?

What has he done for the states?

Sure - the narrative that Trump killed 200k because of of the Covid19 pandemic is an easy one, the Russian collusion ordeal, packing the court, the idea that Trump doesn't denounce White Supremacy, the impeachment process (political,) if you support Trump you're a racist, the idea that democrats won't raise taxes yet but will based on their policies, no credit for being the first president in ages to not start a war somewhere, no credit for the peace deal, the narrative that he paid $750 in taxes, that the dems won't ban fracking, that Trump won't sign a deal with Pelosi (it's on the table, she just wants to add random other political crap and is losing her mind lol.)

I just prefer the right side's policies. I don't really care for Trump, but I fear a lot of people aren't actually going to vote for Biden or his policies, but rather vote against Trump's personality and character flaws.

Me specifically? None as I'm Canadian.

    Animal Cruelty Law
    Lowest Minority Unemployment Rates ever
    Youth Unemployment Rate
    Tax cuts for average families
    America is now energy independent
    The First Step Act
Lowest Poverty Rate in 17 years
    Manufacturing Jobs returned
ISIS basically removed (obviously never know but we've withdrawn)
    New trade agreements
The Building of the Wall (although Mexico hasn't paid, but nonetheless a win for American Security in general)
    Opportunity Zone Incentives
    Stock market (obviously before pandemic)
    More affordable generic drugs
6-9 Billion in funding to fight opioid epidemic
Out of the Paris Accord but still had lowered carbon emissions more than anyone else in the world.

I don't vote obviously in the American elections being Canadian, but overall my political affiliation is literally 1 point off being completely centered. I just don't agree with a lot of the extremes that the left currently endorses. I think the left would have to move to a more centralized approach to win a lot of people who are 'on the fence' and don't bother listening to the media/activists spins on things.

We have around 3 days to go (although due to mail-in voting they reckon it could take a few days for all the states to get their counts in).

Who do you think will win? At this point it really feels like it could go either way.

    Like which one?

    They're all speculation.

The Biden plan for Covid is arguably the exact same as the Trump administration plans albeit likely will less character flaws (cause Trump is a mouthpiece and an ego maniac lol) and ironically when he shut down the borders democrats actually were against it lol

Russian Collusion went nowhere, and really the dems were found to be equally sketchy but not really reported.

Trump doesn't denounce White Supremacy - he did like 15 times but is an absolute buffoon when it comes to communication/clear messaging.

If you support Trump you're a racist - I mean, I shouldn't have to explain that one.

Democrats won't raise taxes yet but will based on their policies - read through their policies?

No credit for being the first president in ages to not start a war somewhere - kind of speaks for itself.

No credit for the peace deal - 90% negative reporting via media left this out pretty conveniently.

That the dems won't ban fracking -

    Pelosi Deal -

This election will likely come down to if people can move past Trump being an idiot lol. He's a branding guy - but a HORRIBLE communication guy. If you could put a mute on him for the entire presidency this would be an entirely different election.

I'm going to be up all night watching this. It's really hard for me to imagine as an outsider that these two guys are what the American people have to choose from. Surely there are better Americans that could be running the country.

I would agree that this election could go either way.

If you thought there was a hidden or unknown vote before in 2016 -think about how many people just won't openly admit that they support the current administration when it's fairly common now to just blast said individual for being racist, sexist, etc etc etc.

I'm guessing there's going to be a HUGE closet vote this go around.

The first voting stations close in less than 5 hours, but we might not get all the state's counts in during the first day.
