    PCOS

So my wife and I just found out shes got PCOS.
We tried going to her doctors looking for help as far as diet, and they were completely useless.

So then we tried a nutritionist and after 3 visits, paying her 80 bucks a pop to just chat she finally hits us with a bill for helping with the whole diet process at 600 DOLLARS to just help us figure out what she should be eating to try and help correct the issue.

We will have to pay that each time she goes and has her tests ran to see what her body is missing, and every time something changes, the diet will change and we will have to pay again. I believe its monthly she has to do this...

Does any one else around here have to deal with this?
    Is a constant change need?

What are other option as far as dieting?

My wife is asking around on pages shes apart of for her yoga groups
just figured I would check here as PCOS seems to be a lot more common than I thought.

r/PCOS - Is keto really the best diet for PCOS?

Edit: Please now I'm not a doctor but just informing you of what other people have done in the past :) I am a healthcare professional, however, in-school.

I appreciate the links and such!

My wife isnt considered "severe" although she is actually under weight, her bmi (?) is like 16.5 and they said she needs to be around 22 . shes 5'5 and about 95 lbs.

apparently from what we were told, theres are 2 types of pcos, 1 is basically your average tiny bit over weight, and then the other is her, being so far under, even though she looks 100% healthy and does yoga like its a religion (shes in school to be a yoga teacher).

i just dont understand how we are supposed to get her into that very fine medium of "healthy" considering our diet IS gmo free and alot is home grown as far as the veggies, and we only eat fresh water fish and chicken as far as meat. so we are alot more ahead of most people, and they were able to have children just fine

Eat more meat! In addition to that, can she eat peanut butter? Some foods that are dense in calories that she should be able to eat are nuts, peanut butter, meats, beans, and rices.

Is that the main issue? Gaining weight?
