Two quick questions!

I'm 10HP; should I remain 10HP or level up the other skills and turn into some type of pure?

The second question is what should I use my instakill darts on? Been out of the loop for some time; remember I'm 10HP and have almost no quests done.

6X Magic and some Fletching -- just starting out. Selling a nice 10HP though for whatever I can get for it that's reasonable. Nice stats!

Well the question really is, do you like combat?

If you do, go ahead. If not, simply don't.

If you have chosen to get up combat, do you prefer pking or bossing/pvm?

If pking, go for a pure, if bossing/pvm go for a main.

 

Just heard some rumours swirling around that with the Combat Beta (RS3/whatever other name people are calling it) releasing within the forseeable future, 10HP pures will be (for some reason) difficult to obtain/train because of a possible coding change from Java to HTML5, which spurred the question.

The EoC is going to be ruining the pures, so keep it rare while you still can! Get that 99 prayer, get that 99mage, just keep the 10hp!

 

As far as I know, the only thing EoC will do to 10HP pures is ruin their low levels.

Say a person with the following stats;
99 Attack,
99 Strength,
1 Defence,
99 Hitpoints,
99 Prayer,
99 Range,
99 Magic,
99 Summon,
Combat level (now): 113
Combat level (eoc): 102

Now take my stats:
1 Attack,
1 Strength,
1 Defence,
10 Hitpoints,
1 Prayer,
50 Ranged,
99 Magic,
1 Summon,
Combat level (now): 50
Combat level (eoc): 102


This is the only reason people claim 10HP pures will fail.
I, however, cannot stand the combat aspects of the game (now) or in EoC, so I shall keep this going.

 

No they won't! This is a common misconception!
Pures will be far from dead in the EoC. As it stands currently, most of the time pures will end up fighting other pures. In the EoC, defense gives an advantage now. If a pure fights another pure, neither of them will have that advantage so it will be a level playing field, like it is currently. Of course there will be some minor changes, such as the way you fight being revamped but pures fighting amongst themselves will still be very prominent in PvP.

Well since you can't stand combat aspects just keep going unless soul wars is too boring to bear, then you may want to just make a level 3 skiller.

You may want to try it out prior to deciding whether to continue or not, you'll most likely be burying bones to not get kicked from the game. Either that or buy a soul wars bot as you will be doing a lot of it.

I don't see the purpose in it. Why would anyone want to make anything (to show off) if it's botted?

I'm going to continue playing the way I do even when EoC comes out.

 

Remain 10HP until something catches YOUR eye, and once that happens post it and we'll give you feedback. In short, I think it's smarter that you choose rather than leaving it to us, we'll comment either way but nonetheless.

 

I don't understand; has this combat distortion regarding levels been documented by the guys behind RS?
If that's so, I may just turn my guy into a PvE pure of some sort...

 

A large portion of it is speculation, until EoC is released (and even some time after) I would wait before leveling certain combat levels.

 

Currently in the beta it is your defense level + your highest level of attack/strength/range/mage + 2. This means the highest level is now 200. It also means that prayer/summoning/HP don't contribute towards your combat level. I don't know if this is set in stone for the EOC update, it might not be for all I know. Currently though, I think the best thing to do would be to get 99 HP in soul wars or something like that, you could be 99 HP and rape in low level pking as everyone else would have like ~50 Hp.
