Opinions on the new 1070/1080 GPU's?

So I'm currently in the process of saving up cash to drop down on a beefy PC to build. I built one in early 2014 when the 780ti dropped, and back then that card was a monster. I was tempted to buy a prebuilt system with 2 980ti's in it a few months back, but ended up not going for it since I knew pascal was coming out soon.

So now we know what cards are dropping in a month the 1070 and 1080. And my god, from what we've already heard 1080 is meant to be twice the power of a GTX Titan X, and still around the same price as what the 980's dropped for when they came out.

What's your guys opinions on these cards? I mean, if they're as true as what they say they are, then I'm definitely grabbing 2 of them when EVGA comes out with aftermarket coolers on them.

Do you think they'll be the "TRUE" 4k card?

My opinion is that I want a 1070 or 1080 but seriously have no need for one as I don't have a 4k monitor.

According to linus' review of the 1080, it won't be able to run the best games at ultra settings at 4k resolution @60 fps. So we still don't have a "true" 4k card YET. But it's better than any other GPU by leaps and bounds and is cheaper.

Personally I bought a gtx 970 when it first came out and regretted it, going to wait a couple of months to see what the other brands come up with in terms of cooling and clock speed.

According to nvidia this card is VERY overclockable so I'm excited to see all the tech reviews in June/july

In all honesty, I'm going to buy one and I'll use the fact that I have a 1080 as an excuse to upgrade my PC..... And peripherals... Including a 4k monitor >_<
