Rape is a display of human hatred and the disgusting trait that we try to prevent within our society. The government does everything within their power to prevent it, but humans are horrible. We are not debating the fact that rape is wrong, we are debating whether or not the protection of the military should be respected.

People are raped. It is a shame, but you can not segregate a particular category of citizens and say that they are all rapist and don't deserve respect. In that case, no one in the human race deserves respect because they are a potential rapist. This is sad perspective to keep.

What freedom is being kept alive if the government does not give me the freedom to make money if they take a cut of everything I buy, everything I sell, everything I own, how much I can pay employees, who I can hire, who I can sell to?

You have the ability to earn money. You have the potential to live a long, healthy, and satisfying life without ever seeing the conflict. The soldiers take your place in the cycle of protection, allowing you to have that freedom rather you having to fight for it every day of your life.

Protection from what? I'll reiterate again that all the things you have listed that people must be protected from are SOLDIERS.

Soldiers are people. People are cruel. Protection from people. I'm not sure how many different ways it needs to be said for you to comprehend it?
