OSRS & the next 12 months

What are you expectations of the game and how it will progress within the next 12 months.

Do you see the game reducing in size or increasing.
The economy as a whole?
People being active and so forth.
New updates? Perhaps curses ever?
Anything to make PvP more interesting?

What are everyones opinion? Just trying to find out if its worth playing properly again

 

Cant really predict most of those things, but I think it will increase in player count. With DMM Seasonals there will be much more activity on RS section on twitch. This will lead to a lot more people finding RS on there and wanting to check it out. Also DMM Seasonals will most likely bring back some players that quit a while back.

The other thing is that Jagex has been bought up (or is going to, not sure if it has happened yet) by a Chinese mining company. You never know how that will impact the game. But I'm guessing they will try something new to get a new market for OSRS. But you never really know.

 

reset the economy on osrs, thats my best bet and implementing some extremely good anti bot detection system and gg bots.

 

I'd love to see the game flourish. I hope that the introduction of DMM seasonals, and Raids will give more content to more types of players. Hoping the Chinese don't throw a wrench in the plans

 

I think the game will expabd overall. With the populary of the dmm tournament and everything it brings players in.

 

Player base will probaby expand quite a bit, not sure about the content, hope zeah will be expanded more (haven't visited yet)

 

I say player base on RS3 will increase but OSRS will stay the same or barely less. Prices of some items will drop in OSRS. Those are my predictions and I have no reason for any of them.

 

It all really depends on what happens with the new ownership. I have a vague theory but I think there's a good chance it might happen. Im assuming whoever buys the game will most likely keep the current staff. Over time however I'm sure they'l start implementing their own staff. Im hoping this happens over a 6-12 month basis. I'm hoping the new ownership and dismissal of older staff open the door for GAMBLING again. I dont think they'l openly support it, but I do believe 07 commission clans and once again rise. I will closely be monitoring the situation and looking for tail tail signs. If this happens I can see rs3 taking a hit and 07 gaining more popularity. Everyone hates rs3 gambling and loves 07. I feel the majority of 07 enjoy's or doesnt mind gambling.

 

Its going to expand like wildfire.
