Banned for Excessive Spamming

Hey,
I was banned (3 days) for Excessive spamming, with the infringement notice:
" You posted on a thread that was 1 year old ".

Let me explain what happened.

I saw there was a mini-rank for posting in the "Community General" section of forums. So I went over to that section and gave my ideas on a couple things. I posted something that was on Page Two. And usually, if its on Page 2 its quite recent.

I didn't read the date, and it was actually posted somewhere in the middle of 2014.

I take complete responsibility for the actions I have done, but I believe it was my general knowledge (of thinking Page 2 is recent) that got me banned.

I request for an unban please. The current infringements I have on my account is a "Signature" infringement which has been resolved.

It's only a three day ban. Some of your posts were very spammy and I believe the temporary ban is warranted.
