Hey guys,
Here's some info about my situation:
For those who don't know, 3 days ago, I got hacked on Skype. What did I do?
1. When I realized I was hacked, I contacted as many people as possible to tell them about my skype. (However, unfortunately, I was kicked out of my skype pretty fast..)
2. I changed ALL my passwords.
3. I contacted Skype, right away, to deal with this situation. I talked to them for hours, literally. I wanted something done. I told them that I did not mind if I could not have my skype back... I just wanted the account LOCKED/DELETED so nobody get scammed. I did my best & after a lot of talking, they told me that the other skype team will take care of it, in the next 72 hours. Today, I received an email saying that they understand my concern, but unfortunately cannot do anything. -.-
Maybe I can't get my skype back or locked... but how can I prevent another hacking?
4. I did a full reset of my computer.
5. I scanned my whole computer... multiple times.
6. I tested different setups in skype to see which is safer & created a new skype.
Anyways, I think I did everything I could to prevent another one & I think I am ready to lift my SRB.
I am really sorry for the people who had to deal with my hacker & I hope that it will not happen again.
Thanks,
Matt
