Was going to make two different threads, but might as well consolidate them.

Anyway, what do you all think? Excited? Don't really care?

HoloLens is an augmented reality headset Microsoft announced a few months ago.

As for me, I'm quite excited about the HoloLens and seeing where it takes us. It's the first widespread commercial step to bring augmented reality to everyday life. The features and it's potential to help workflow and just overall convenience is quite nice.

As for the Tesla Home Battery, I likely won't be getting one any time soon, but I am also very excited. The benefits of it, the $ saved, the renewable energy, the fact that it could help move society further away from fossil fuels which alongside being horrible for our environment, are going to run out.

The battery is a step in the right direction, I'm always excited to see what Tesla is doing these days.

I have like -1 interest in "augmented reality" though.

Forget the Tesla home battery I want the Wardenclyffe Tower (aka Tesla Tower).

I don't have need for a cheap-to-operate generator. I have a gas one and I've used it several times over the past 10 years.

What I want is the Telsa Tower:
"(using) the Earth itself as the medium for conducting the currents, thus dispensing with wires and all other artificial conductors... a machine which, to explain its operation in plain language, resembled a pump in its action, drawing electricity from the Earth and driving it back into the same at an enormous rate, thus creating ripples or disturbances which, spreading through the Earth as through a wire, could be detected at great distances by carefully attuned receiving circuits. In this manner I was able to transmit to a distance, not only feeble effects for the purposes of signaling, but considerable amounts of energy, and later discoveries I made convinced me that I shall ultimately succeed in conveying power without wires, for industrial purposes, with high economy, and to any distance, however great."

The battery looks like we're taking a step into the right direction, but I believe we already have better ideas out there. As much as it would be beneficial to step away from current energy sources, I believe the elites are making too much money by being able to quantify and charge for every bit of energy.
