Jagex will soon run a HTML5 based engine for RuneScape. It will be more easy for them to trace RWT's compared with the current Java based game.

I'm curious what the Sythe community thinks this will mean for the future of RWT'ing.

What are your thoughts about flagging RWT's and shut them down from the game with the new HTML5 code?

Not sure if srs, HTML5 and Java don't converse (in this regard) as syntaxes, this is not logical... though I'm not an experienced Java programmer so I may be missing something.

No it is true Jagex had admitted RuneScape 3 will have a lot of it's game engine if not all of it written in HTML5.

How much can you do to prevent it? All you can do really is to track and report strange trade patterns to Jagex.

No matter what they run to detect RWT it doesn't really matter because in the end it comes down to code logic. For example deciding what classifies someone as a RWT. They can't just automatically ban all stakers.

That's what made me question it above, my only thought is they may have came up with a new system to catch RWT but that has nothing to do with what language the game is written in.

In the past they used to infect caches files on your computer downloaded with Java towards the Jagex map. This is very easy to bypass. They recently stopped doing this because they see no effect, in my opinion. With HTML5 they're able to save all flags on server side.

Very true. As explained above it becomes easier to make a list of flagged accounts (including stake acc) and investigate them. In the past not many people RWT's got flagged because it's very easy to delete caches files.

Now this is good news. If the current trade options will be the same there's no need to be afraid of an increase of RWT bans. post source link plz :)

    Cheers!
