IPhone 6 vs. IPhone 6+

Deciding....HELP!

 

5c. The plastic-ness has saved mine numerous times where another model would suffer a cracked or shattered screen.

IMO, if you have the funds (and don't want the 5c like I suggest) then always get the newest model. It's going to go out of date slowest, and God knows how quickly iPhones can become defunct.

 

I suggest you go with the 6. The 6+ is obnoxiously big and gets in the way of things.

 

Or get a better phone for less and go with Android.

 

Ew, neither. I went with the OnePlus One which has comparable to better specs, looks, and build quality. Cost me $350 for the 64gb sandstone black version off-contract. Also comes loaded with cyogenmod which leads to a bunch of customization options. Whereas the Iphone 6 64gb is $750

If you have to go with apple I'd say the 6, the six plus is uncomfortably big even for me who likes bigger sized screens.

 

There are actually entry level android phones with similar specs and more functionality than iPhones for less than $300. That's how expensive iPhones are for what they are.

I have a Motorola Android phone I got from CostCo for like AU$230 or so and it never lags, has a microSD card slot, dual sim, etc. and I can't see myself needing anything better for some time.

If you are genuinely insistent on iPhones, get the 6. The "+" is a gimmick; it's like slapping a couple of features they could have put on the regular 6 on to a somewhat new model with a bigger pricetag. Fundamentally, they're the same phone. I've also heard it's uncomfortable to use, so yeah.

 

Iphone 6+ is for people with a big hand, or people going from SamSung phones to an Iphone. This is my opinion.
Iphone 6 is for people that just want to upgrade from an iphone to the next version.

I have a iPhone 6 64g and I like it. I did run into a problem with my first one (already on my second 6 two months into having it) but its going well. The 6 compared to the 6+ i would get the 6 all day, even with big hands i sometimes run into little problems here and there reaching the screen all the way across.

I feel like unless you're coming from a Galaxy Note or you're going to be using your phone for business then you should just stick with the 6.

 

I know I should go with the Andriod and whatnot cheaper ones, but I don't know what makes me blend in with everyone else I know and get an Apple phone.

 

I went for the iPhone 6. I wish it kept the same size of the iPhone 5s. It's a bit big for my liking, forget the iPhone plus... that shit is huge. The reason for which I went with the iPhone 6 and not the iPhone 5s is because I plan on keeping my phone for years and dont want to feel like its too old sooner.

You actually remind me of highschool by saying that - everyone wanted to "blend in" and get the same stuff. Thing is, once I started university the interesting thing is no-one cared about that any more except for a few freshmen. No-one really cares what phone you have.

 

I have the iPhone 6, i find the 6+ obnoxiously huge. But it all depends on what you like more.

 

6, unless ur a girl who will be putting the 6+ in a purse anyways the 6 is the only one that can (barely) fit in ur pocket. I actually think the 5s size is perfect. Also Ive had iphones all my life and had a slim case on it, dropped it many times, and I've never had one crack on me so I wouldn't really factor that in unless that happens to you alot

 

I'm a fan of large phones and android. If you like and can get used to the large screen go 6+, otherwise just go for 6, which is great if you like simplicity.

6+ is wayyy too big. Definitely would recommend the 6 if you are choosing between the two.

 

Slim case + one of those antiscratch layers that are near unnoticeable = win.
I also have one that neutralizes sunlight, very useful during the summer.

I once dropped it while drunk three times in a row, only ruined the antiscratch surface (5 bucks). its almost 2 years old now and doesnt have an actual scratch or dent on it. (and it has dropped more than those 3 times, but not that many times).

I'd go with 6. Oversized = uncomfortable imo. I like the 5 size.

 

I went with a 5S because my hand couldn't stretch across to the top of the 6 when using only one hand. Then again, I have small hands and am a girl. I think the 6 & 6+ are hideous. I wish Apple would go back to black, instead of this space grey shit. I've wanted to switch away from Apple/iPhone products, but I'm so comfortable with them, that I can't. And the biggest problem I have with iPhones is them being fragile. I've always used the lifeproof cases, but they're $80+ and bulky. This time I went with a regular back case and one of those extra screen protectors. Not the flimsy, plastic ones that prevent scratches, but an actual additional screen on top of the phone that should protect from cracks and shatters (rather, the screen on top will break, protecting the actual phone screen). More cost-effective too. Cost me a total of $200 for a 32GB 5S, case, and extra screen. The 6 costs $200 for the 16GB, not including the gear you would be smart to get with it. I'd honestly suggest buying a different phone (I can't help with suggesting anything though). Best of luck, it is just a phone after all.

 

Neither. Go Oppo R5. Now that's an impressive looking phone and it's not made out of shitty aluminum like the Iphones are. Also, it's about 3mm slimmer than the new ones.

Though.... I wouldn't recommend this phone if you are wanting the best hardware and features. But it's gorgeous, and it's android!
