Is it safe to buy Rs accounts?

I haven't been apart of a RWT scene in a decade. Is it still unsafe to buy an account? I'd love to buy a 07 account but I'm afraid it'll be recovered instantly. Please give this noob some advice!

 

It's extremely easy for the original owner to recover their accounts, even after a few years. You shouldn't buy accounts from untrusted users. If you want some particular skills on an account, make your own account and ask someone to train it for you.

It is always possible for an account to be recovered, just buy an account from highly trusted users with good vouches.

Hiring a trainer seems safer to me but that's just me...

 

They can be recovered at any time, only buy them if you absolutely trust the previous owner.

It is never safe to buy an RS account. The original owner can recover at any time no matter if the buyer has the PIN, recovery questions, email set, authenticator set, etc.

 

i wouldn't buy an account imo - too easy for someone to change their mind and take it back. unless the ORIGIONAL owner is very trusted

 

Not unless they have a reputable account selling service, otherwise it can be insta recovered regardless of whatever information is given to you. Just purchase skill training on an account you make yourself.

Botting in general is really unsafe atm. Jagex have gotten so good at catching bots lately. Just wait around for a trusted user to sell an account. To be fair, you could just train up your own account. It doesn't take that long.

I would only buy from extremely trusted user to be safe. It is way too easy for the original owner to recover the account even if he didn't know the current email, recoveries and so on.

 

This. Skill training, as suggested by some, is an option but there are still risks. Pretty much anyone that would skill train you long enough will be botting it. Not to mention you will have to wait.

What kind of account are you looking for? I've seen a few trusted users of Sythe mass produce pure account with something like 60-80(to 99)-1 accounts. Mainly good for pking for example. Although I've been out of the market for a while, so they might be hard to come by.

Of course if money is an issue, you might be better off attempting to bot yourself (although risky as well). Accounts that tend to never be recovered are normally the ones that cost more, obviously pair that with a trusted user. People were selling maxed accounts (or very near) pre eoc for anywhere from $250-$500. I sold mine for almost $1,000. Original owner being one of the top donors of Sythe, his donation alone belittled the price I sold the account for. I even told him that it is very unlikely he'd be able to recover it or perform a test successfully. I did tell him who the owner was and he should contact him or me in the event anything goes wrong. Almost 2 years without even a word from the buyer. Normally buyers tries to befriend the owner with a tiny hope of them thinking twice about recovering from a friend.
