    Need help quick

A plane takes off from a runaway at point A and climbs while mainlining a constant angle with the ground, as shown in the diagram. When plane has traveled 1000 meters, its altitude is 290 meters. Find correct to the nearest degree the angle x at which the plane has climbed with respect to horizontal ground.

    So far I got this`

    Sin x=opposite side

so will it be 290/1000 or vise versa? Please help and do I use Sin? or cosine?

or x=sin^-1 .2900 ? or will it be the cosin?

You'd use sin. cos is adj/hyp.

however when finding the x from sinx, you do x = sin^-1(opp/hyp). Obviously plug your opposite length and hypotenuse length in to the formula.
