Jad in EoC/Rs 3

Is Jad harder in EoC than pre-EoC or is he easier to kill?

I've still never gotten around to getting a fire cape and want to go for one.

In case you want my combat / relevant stats:
99 atk
94 str
76 def
93 HP
99 pray
99 herb
74 ranged
99 mage

What style of attack should I use? Gear? Invent? Someone said they easily killed Jad using just momentum l0l, is he really that easy now? Would it be easy at my stats ?

 

From what I've heard the waves leading up to the jad are easier but the jad is harder. I also think mage is the best cb style to use. Probably something like a polypore staff if you were poor or new seismic weapons if your rich.

 

I'm hearing mixed reception.

I always struggled with Jad back when I tried him LONG before EoC. Shortly after EoC, I was able to kill him very easily because there were some nice defensive abilities that basically made it really difficult to die even if you did misclick a prayer. Overall, he's not that hard. More recent bosses are far harder.

 

How should I fight him, Magic?

 

I haven't done fight caves since EOC came out but from what I remember it was very very easy. I managed to do it without trouble in mystic and some shitty t60 wand and orb.

 

Up to jad is as easy as pissing with any cb style. Jad himself is tougher, I would just recommend watching some youtube videos for him.

 

I did it with 81 magic, I used water spells on Jad. Didnt have to pray through the waves and have all pots and food.

 

so it sounds like I should do magic. Is prayer switching still reliant on sounds jad makes or are there motions he does that differentiate the attacks?

Go there and scroll down to the 2 gifs that show you the mage and range attack.
For range, it stomps its front feet and for mage it raises its front legs and shoots a fireball at you.
