Should I hit up the girl that shot me down?

Very basic question - but I want opinions. So I met this girl back when I was in high school, my best friend's GF hooked me up with her. And she told my pals GF that I was cute, etc. So great, this is awesome - finally got a hookup. So everyday when school was dismissed she would meet me at my locker and we'd walk out to the buses together. Note: We never hung out outside of school. So this happened about for two-three weeks, thinking okay I gotta tell her I like her, bc this is getting nowhere.

Soo, the day comes, and we were walking outside, and I told her that I like'd her (I forgot how I said, but it was a clean intro). Then she replied to me by saying "Awww". Then was silence for the next 30 seconds as I walked her to the bus and said See ya later.

Walking to my bus, thinking - what the heck? Why did she not say anything back to me, does she like me back or is she nervous, etc? Thought about of the weekend, puzzled. Monday comes, same routine she meets me the locker. So we are walking outside and she says "Remember how you said you like'd me?", I replied "Yeah." Thinking, yes! This is it - the moment I've been waiting for. Now she responds saying "Well I like you...but I like you as a friend.." DAMN - mission failed!

Different emotions rushing through my head, I quickly comeback gently saying " Ahh it's cool" Then we arrive at the bus and I said See ya and so did she. Turned out, throwing my fist at the air. FAAK! What a fail..

So recently I haven't been really attempting to go for anything, and I just thought about her the other day. She was a good girl, and had the whole life plan setup out. So finally my question, should I hit her up? She shot me down about 3 years ago. Let it go? Give it a shot? Can't hurt, could it? No she doesnt have a BF...still. Thanks all who read the whole thing.

My advice is never to go back to an ex, almost always a terrible idea.

As far as this thing with the bus girl goes, stop showing up to walk with her. She'll get the message. You don't want to hang around a girl friend you have feelings for anyway, imagine when she's dating and shit it'd be awful.

 

Not worth the emotional investment, trust me.

The best cure for this is moving onto a new girl -- ideally one that will share the same feelings.

 

If she rejected you and friendzoned you, she just isn't the one for you.

Don't know why she lead you on though...

 

yeah why not dude, people change a lot in 3 years and everyone's shitty in highschool. go smash, see if you two are down for eachother, go on from there

Dude you have the perfect opportunity to wow her...

Start flirting and hold yourself back a lot!.. Text her and then go a few days without texting, and be like oh hey how you been?.. And meet her for some dinner, and then go awhile without meeting her.

She will be waiting for YOU to make the move (unless your ugly and not very fun).

Then one day when the signals are clear say "Remember how 3 years ago, on this same day I told you I liked you"...

She : " Yea..."
You : "Well I'm telling you again"

And boom! putty in your hands.

 

start flirting then when she starts falling for you turn her down show her how it feels bro!

 

I'd say go for it, but don't be too quick about it. Become friends again first and see what happens, after all it has been 3 years .

Thanks for the quick responses! Got some mixed results. I figured I just give it a shot, so I texted her and she still has the same number. We only got a few texts in and its pretty late so I will update the thread prob over the few weeks. Just gunna take it slow like Leanbean said. Thanks all! Stay pimpin.

 

I would say to go for it as its definitely worth a try especially if u still have feelings for her. A lot of things can change in 3 years and like lean said don't rush it and take it nice and slow before waiting for an opportunity to arise. Wish u all the best man!

 

I have a different take..

I normally don't stress over girls like that but man, it's been three entire years. She's probably an entirely different person. & I presume the three years took place through highschool and into a bit of college? She'll probably see you in an entirely different light. Personally, I don't even know what I was doing during high school. I made plenty of bad decisions with the ladies (and still do) . Three years changes a lot, I say go for it. What do you have to lose?

Tl;dr -- do it, getting shot down is no big deal

Update: So I decided to text her - She didnt remember my number (which I knew was going to happen) She asked who it was? I told her who I am. She said something like "Oh wow hey whats up lol". Basically told her nothing much, and asked her "how ya been?" and...no response. Was pretty late, so I figured I'd get an apology the next day. Next day comes, and nothing. This was many days ago, so I'm wondering when I should try a second attempt.

 

I don't think you should continue, it might have been fun to stay in touch but if you just keep texting her it could easily be perceived as being creepy

 

I wouldn't continue tbh. It doesn't appear that she even is trying to be friendly (which isn't necessarily your fault, I would probably have the same response to basically everyone I remember from three+ years ago).

 

No lol she didn't care about you when she saw you every day, she sure as hell doesn't care about you now
