It was implemented poorly as shit, I pointed out at the start that if it was a desktop client it'd go down better. Someone offered to program it but richard shut it down. Having an irc like web client isn't going to encourage much activity, and neither is telling people they have to download and setup some xmpp client from a third party which will have its own issues/lack of features if they want to have a desktop client.


A desktop client with notifications should have been released, and a minirank given to people that have it downloaded and login.

I wish it would have been more of an IM system than an IRC. Basically the same functionality as Facebook chat. Where messages would pop up when someone messages you, for you to see right in front of you, and the history being saved in private messages, or the chat itself, forever.

 

An arrowchat would have been nice if it was built into Sythe at the bottom.
