Perm Banned for Scamming, but I don't even trade with Sythe

Hi, I got permanently banned for "admitting to scamming" on this thread at http://www.sythe.org/runescape-cheating/1643368-scamming-macroing.html

If you read the thread thread you will note that I just admitted to "non-legit doubling money" in Runescape (the actual game, with gp and random players). In fact, the sum total amount of gp I "scammed" was just 20k.... (and I paid out a whole lot more).

I have never even traded with Sythe and I never will, I don't do goldselling or anything. I have never scammed a Sythe member ever, and never will.

As proof of my goodwill, I do not mind if you add a "trade with caution" to my account. I have never traded through Sythe and I have never scammed any Sythe members.

As further proof of my goodwill, I will give the 20k gp back to anyone that wants it (I obviously will not be able to locate the unfortunate guy lol).

No doubt some of you will say "scamming in Runescape is scamming nonetheless". However, I would like to point out that Luring is also a form of scamming, but is acceptable in these forums because it only involves Runescape gold which has absolutely 0 real world value under the Jagex ToS.

Furthermore, this is my first offence of any kind (except a signature warning). It seems a little bit absurd that someone be permanently banned for "doubling" 20k.

 

I think his ban should be reconsidered. I wouldn't mind reducing his ban length and adding a TWC to his account. Thoughts?

 

Ban's warranted imo - go through the pardon system. disregard the amount - it's still intent to scam.

His intentions were to scam more.. If it wasn't for the mute he would have.

I still hold that his permanent ban should be reconsidered. We are permanently banning a user for scamming 20K RSGP. Even if the people that posted above want to change that ban reason to "intent to scam," I still believe that the ban length should be reduced. I think that if he promises not to scam in-game, we should TWC him and unban him.
