more clients, different ips--is this possible?

hi i was wondering if its possible to run like 2-3 bots on the same ip, and 2-3 bots on a different one(using same comp+vpn). Is this possible? and if it is, can you help me setting it up?

 

I know it is possible, as rsbuddy has the same thing. (Every client had a different Ip address provided by rsbuddy). But how to do it I do not know, hopefully someone else could be of more assistance then I am.

 

Yes a VPN is it's own internet separate from yours, however you'll need to run a VM (virtual machine) in your computer and route it to your VPN since you really tell your main computer to use X connection for 1 program and Y connection for another program.

Or you can get a VPS.

 

Are virtual machines a paid program? I'm interested in the same thing. I have a computer with 12gb or RAM and would like to make 3- 4gb "servers" out of my computer to run bots on.

Oh wow.. you have to install an operating system on the virtual machine too right? What would be a good method for this? I'm definitely not going to spend $200 for windows 7 on a VM.

You can find free iso files of Windows XP fairly easily for your VM

 

Just use your computer + a few virtual machines. Virtualbox is super easy to use, and Linux is free. (Yes, you can run RuneScape on Linux. Just use WINE.)

Many VPNs allow you to install them on multiple machines. So just install it on each of your virtual machines, and you're good to go.

There is ABSOLUTELY no reason to buy a VPS unless you have a horrible computer that can't run a few FREE virtual machines.

 

I mean you could always just torrent windows 7... Not really much risk there

So I just recently purchased this laptop of mine that has 12GB of RAM, ton of memory, etc.

Well it has uTorrent plus downloaded on it.

Isn't that bad for your computer? Like it'll give it viruses and stuff or is it safe?

 

No there's nothing unsafe about uTorrent.
Torrenting is a completely legal, it's just that torrenting copyrighted files is illegal.

 

Would it be possible to torrent a copy of Windows for a VM?

 

There's no reason to go through that hassle. Just use Linux Mint. It feels a lot like Windows 7, and it is perfectly fine for RuneScape. No reason to risk exposing yourself to malware just to get Windows.

 

If you're comfortable with windows already i'd suggest it. I don't want to link you a torrent file but with a little common sense on tpb you can see the ones that are legit pretty quickly.

I've personally never gotten malware from torrenting but it is always a possibility so i make no assurances on that front.

 

Sorry, common sense with torrenting is out the window. I've never used this program whatsoever. What type of things should you be looking for? Also.. What is Tpb?

 

Discussions like this aren't really allowed on the forums, hence why people are being intentionally vague.

Anyway, to answer your earlier question you do not need to pirate operating systems for each individual VM. Check out the link that I posted earlier which explains how to set up windows xp VM's which work perfectly well for botting.

 

I just found out a simpler way to do this without using a virtual machine for you, all you need to do is buy purevpn (link: www.purevpn.com) or any other vpn with split tunneling. What split tunneling is, is basically it only proxies (changes the ip) of the program you are using to use the internet. E.g if I split tunnel tribot, the tribot program will have a different ip address then my computer when it goes on the internet.

Can you buy your own IP for split tunneling? I don't want a IP that another gold farmer has used.

 

There is always a possibility that a gold farmer has been on an ip, no matter how remote that chance is. Just make sure you're paying for your own ip, and not a "shared" ip to further reduce those chances.
