restrict drop shipping or whatever you call it and post requirement for buying/sellin

Suggestion #1 -

Please restrict users from making threads saying " Amazon 50% off, " " eBay 90% off, " fancy 50% off " or " I can get you anything off for 20%-50% off on any retail store.

I mean seriously, these people are generally newcomers who just sign up to sell stuff on amazon, doesn't accept paypal but only payments that can't be charged back for example, BTC or 07 runescape gold.

You don't know where the funds come from. He could be paying with a stolen credit card which I know for a fact that MOST orders would get shipped if orders are made under $200. I know this because a friend on skype would advertise 20-50% off online retailer stores and he always card them. Sometimes, they'll use an account that can be stolen and legitimally theirs but the balance on the account if its legitimatally theirs, could be "carded" by buying someone a "gift card" for a small amount like $200-50 and redeeming the GC and adding it to your balance. ( amazon lets you do this ). Sometimes, it could be just stolen accounts with legitimate credit card info that is not theirs.

Suggestion #2

Limit all buying/selling forums to a certain amount of posts to what the user can view. I would say 100-200 posts or more if this suggestion gets approved just so you can filter out all these people who mainly just join to sell on Sythe and potentially see if the can scam.

Example - I need 200 posts so I can view buying thread.

Suggestion #3 if #2 is appproved

Add sub forums for selling and buying to price ranges. Example is below. It'll probably keep the place organized and potenially attract more people to view and buy stuff based on their price range they are looking to spend.

example - I want to buy dr dre beats. MSRP is what? 70-150? i'll look in the $50-$100 forums or $100-$150 forum for my beats.

I don't see the problem for suggestion 1. People put 20% off in their thread, they have the right to do it. If I went on Amazon and asked somebody to buy me a item worth 100$, if their thread said 10% off I'd pay 90$. The whole stolen card deal you mentioned is you making accusations (I could be wrong here). If you have reason to suspect somebody is selling a stolen item, report them with your findings. It's a bannable offence.

Suggestion 2 falls under a category in the do not suggest list. Read the sticky, no post requirements.

Didn't read suggestion 3 because suggestion 2 won't be accepted.

 

Suggestion 2 wont be approved, Sythe doesn't want to limit people as to what they can or cant trade on the forums. It's a free market for all.

Correct me if I'm wrong

 

1) You can't ban a certain type of sale just because of the possibility that people could do things illegitimately. For example you couldn't ban the sale of rsgp because "many newcomers come and sell rsgp for cheap prices that they might have stolen or scammed". As ThenoisyJaguar already said if there is someone doing something that breaks the rules they can be reported for it as is, any restrictions would only hurt legitimate traders.

2) Post count requirements to market sections will never be implemented.

3) Which sections would that be applicable to besides non-virtual sales? I don't think its necessary at all.

1) If you think something's stolen and being sold, report it. We can't just assume, though. Everything that anyone sells may well be stolen.

2) Not going to happen. Richard already said there will never be restrictions on using the market, plus it just encourages spam.

3) More subsections would just make it more complicated when it's fine as it is. I don't know of many sections where there's more than a few pages of currently active threads.
