I was doing dungeoneering speed floors with my friends yesterday, and when we got shit maps, we decided to mess with random noobs who come to daemonheim.

My friend was spamming racist things with an autotyper, talking about nudes, and making gay jokes in public chat...

I said 'pornhub' in chat.

I got a 5 day mute

He's not muted

Jagex needs to fix the mute system.

 

That's because, I believe, back when they added the toggle profanity filter option they said they wouldn't mute for offensive language anymore except in certain situations. You, however, mentioned a website which could be taken as advertisement. So if you were both reported, they may have simply ignored the one of your friend, but saw the website in your report. That was all a while ago though, so they might have become more strict since then. At which point, I would say you were probably reported and your friend wasn't . Jagex doesn't have a program that constantly monitors all chat and picks out the naughty stuff. You have to be reported.

 

Advertising, not offensive language.

 

Website advertising does make sense... Sucks, now I have to use my 2485 total account instead of comp acc -.-

I got muted for 5 days for my first offence.. I know how you feel and I didn't even say anything bad I was just defending myself against trolls.

 

If you think that's bad, then go to mod mark's fc and say 'mark donald's'.
