First trade with a 2011 member and I get scammed for only $20.

I am leaving sythe because I know there are good members but I am just not taking the risk.

 

You took the risk yourself. If you're leaving a community over an hours work, then you should leave honestly. Sorry you got scammed, but if you're trading, know how to trade.

 

You can only blame yourself if you get scammed, as there are precautions you can take. Sorry for your loss.

Roary is trying to mend the situation but the only way to do that is to do a 3 way phone call on sythe where Roary would lead the call

But what people don't realize

I wanted the account to play on for today and tomorrow because for the next 3 weeks I got finals and then I got college started again the next week after the finals are done.

I am screwed now. Just wanted to have fun but if the dude can't get me the account by tonight. Ya know.

And I know I took a risk but a guy that was a member since 2011 and no TWC, it just... says it all.

 

Tenure doesn't necessarily equal trust. Remember that. Nor does post count. Trade history (vouches) are what matter. I made a mistake with a trade a while back and got scammed for $20 as well, but it didn't mean to quit. It was honestly a lesson learned and now I'm much more cautious with trading. You learned the hard way but you can do the same. Anyhow, good luck with the turnout of the situation and good luck with future trades if you stick around. Oh, and good luck with finals and college.

 

From what I've seen, you said you spent $20. Now you have $5 to live off of. Why are you trading the last of your money that you should have used to live off of? When you trade, the age of the account doesn't matter.

 

It's hard to buy an account here. I'd usually just advise buying training but I recognize you didn't have another account/that wasn't the purpose of this. Sorry for your loss! Know that it happens to everyone but sometimes people come around. I had a guy who chargebacked on me a couple days ago return the gold today because he felt guilty.

 

I've been scammed and hacked on here with wealth more then $20 and I still stuck around. There are precautions to take, and as Yankiee mentioned those are vouches. If you want to do a trade with someone with little to no feed back on their services, by all means take that risk. Be smart next time, look up his vouches, ask for him to PM you on the forums, etc.

Yeah.. bot on a fresh account for a week or something and you've already made the $20 back, next time you'll know to be a lot safer.

 

Every trade is on ur own risk. A basic rule, if it seems to good to be true. It probably is.

Thank you for the replies guys. And I was trying to resell the account to a friend who wanted it for double the cost which is why.

I went to my school and just took out another loan for my books. $2500 now in my account however I need to pay back interest :/
