    STEAM Tax Info

I apologize if that's not the correct sub-forum to post this question, but I am fairly new and I have no clue where to post.

Basically, I had STEAM ask me for details and for me to prove that I'm not a US citizen or live in the US as an Alien. I have provided the info and they haven't bothered me since. (I believe you had to provide the info market related: eg 200 sales etc)

Now, I'm considering of selling my account here, but I cannot clear that field and I do not want the buyer to have access to my personal information: eg-address, name etc.

At the "Tax Information" field, underneath it it says: You have previously submitted forms to us for U.S. tax purposes. This information has been stored securely and may not be erased.

"May not be erased"..does that mean I cannot continue with selling my account here, hence anyone could have access to my details at any time?

Thanks for any future replies, I'm really in the grey here. I have no clue what to do.

There is no way to remove that info, it is permanently stuck to that account for legal reasons (you have to do this in the US).

You shouldn't be selling your account anyway, Valve can still find out that the IP has changed.
